AR-PEPR PERMANENT MOUNTS

AR-PEPR PERMANENT MOUNTS Reviews & Ratings

One-piece cantilever mount with integral rings positions the optic almost 2" farther forward to provide extra clearance needed for a night vision device (NVD), add-on magnifier, or long eye relief scope. The “Proper Eye Position Ready” mount also features built-in, two-slot rails on the tops of the rings for convenient mounting of reflex sights or other accessories. Each top ring strap is secured with six Torx® screws to prevent recoil-induced slippage. Side locking bar with two, steel hex nuts and cross-bolts hold tight on any Picatinny receiver rail. Smooth contours and radiused edges give a streamlined appearance, reduce weight, and prevent snagging.

SPECS: Aluminum, hardcoat anodized, matte black. 5.3" (13.5cm) long, 1.6" (4.1cm) wide, 2.4" (6.1cm) overall height. Height from top of rail to bottom of ring: 1" (2.5cm). 8.7 oz. (247g) weight. Fits scopes with 1" tube. Mounts to MIL-STD 1913 Picatinny rails.

Best Mount For Heavy Recoil
Mounted a Vortex 3x9x56 Vortex Hog Scope on AR500 Auto Max Rail For Heavy Recoil,. I will use on 300 RUM For the Heavy Recoil. Scope is secure and does not loose zero when I remove or change to a different scope, I have several of these Burris 30mm mounts, all are very good. and soliid, Seem to be inline with bore. This is a 0 moa mount. I use a mounted green laser to bore sight the rifle, then bore sight the Cross Hair Retical,. A few minor Up&Down adjustments to the green dot. Then Its To the Range To Fine Tune The Bulls Eye shots. Price is lowest found from Brownells. I'm an EDGE member, so I save a few $ on Shipping. I will buy more It is a Good Solid Mount.

Solid Burris mount
This AR-PEPR placed upon an AR15 flat top, makes a very solid mount. Utilized was a 4-16X42 variable power scope. I like the option of a smooth or tactical ring top, and appreciate the mount and rings in one unit. Very nice mount!

Very durable and loaded with features
First of all, this is not my favorite AR 15 scope mount. I gave it 5 stars though for the following reasons. 1) It is well built. 6 screws per ring and the screws are long and seem very well made. 2) I love how it has the tactical Picatinny ring cap but also includes the smooth tops. I went with smooth this time, so I have included a picture. 3) I consider this mount to be a "best buy" even though it is not the best out there. My favorite mounts cost 30-115% more. I think that the mount is built more for tactical use and really designed more for tactical, low power scopes with an objective lens the same size as the tube. For scopes with a larger objective lens or large knobs, the space between the rings is a little bit too tight... But it works! I have seen some guys complain because they are "made in China." While not my preference, they do seem well made. I bought a couple of cheap Chinese mounts that look similar to mount on some .22 lr AR 15 rifles that I have. I had screws that stripped and the metallurgy was just not right. These on the other hand may be Chinese, but they are very well made.

My Favorite AR Scope Mount
I have several AR 15 rifles. This mount has been my favorite by far. The height is perfect, the mount seems to be very well made and the cantilever puts the eye relief right in the sweet spot. I am getting ready to order my third.

Burris 1" & 30mm dia. AR-PEPR scope
I purchased a 1" and a 30mm dia. Burris PEPR scope mount to accommodate a Burris and Vortex scope for my AR rifles. Both scope mounts fit perfectly and I was able to sight in within 4-5 shots. The Burris scope mount also allowed me to install a Caldwell brass catcher base mount just before the charge handle (back end of upper receiver Picatinny rail). With 6 screws per ring (12 screws total) I doubt this will ever come loose. The height of the mount is perfect for mounting a scope on a AR format rifle.

GREAT PRODUCT
I put my AR10 in my gun vise and leveled my barrel and then checked out the mount it was perfect to the barrel. You could not ask for any better. This mount is superb.

great AR scope mount
Just put on my Burris AR-15 PEPR 1" scope mount. The cantilever design allows you to mount it entirely to the upper receiver. Other mounts may require you to use your free float rail as well. If the upper receiver and the free float rail are not perfectly aligned or they shift relative to eachother for any reason, you may have issues sighting in your scope. This is not detailed in the description, but it does come with the smooth ring tops like the quick-detatch version that is $20 more. Aluminum construction, but still very solid. The two locking nuts could be a bit lower profile, but it is not so apparent once everything is mounted. Reasonably priced too. I bought it based on the two recommendations on Brownells.com and would definitely recommend it.

Another solid Burris product.
Mounted on MP15 with a Tactical scope. I personally like the cross bolt feature better than the lever design since there is less chance of a snag. Also a good looking mount.

Most Versatile to Use
Very well made mount puts scope out to a position where eye relief is perfect. Mounted the new Maglite XL200 (173 lumans) using Weaver 1" High Matt rings. part #955-000-010 This set up works well out to 100 yrds and beyond in total darkness. A high quality/durable set up and looks good too.

awesome product
very well constructed scope mount, sits my leupold mark ar as close to my magpul buis as you can get wt out touching. the rails are nice for mounting reflex sights, lasers or anti cant devices. the only way it could be better is if it had the throw lever set up, but for the price i have no problem using a screw driver. the truth is once you mount a scope you really dont go back to irons unless you have to, but even if you disagree i dont think its worth spending double the money to take a $2 screw driver or socket out of the picture. gave it 5 stars because it does what it should and looks good doing it.
