Great fit
Fit my Aero M5 upper great. Thought it doesn’t come with a barrel nut anymore it wasn’t a big deal. Ordered one separately. I get why they don’t include it anymore. If you purchase an Aero barreled upper, the upper already has the barrel nut installed. Over all, the quality you expect from Aero.

Perfect fit
I purchased this for my current build project. It was a perfect fit right away. Didn't need to use any of the shims. After torqueing the barrel nut down to the required specs, it was lined up perfectly for the gas tube and hand guard screws.
Very nice handguard
I used this on a .308 Aero Precision M5 upper and lower build. The handguard is very nicely finished and is comfortable to hold. It installed very easily, but make sure you get the correct barrel nut and wrench for the barrel nut since it requires the M5 .308 barrel nut. Not all barrel wrenches have the adapters for the M5 nut. The hand guard will not attach to other styles of barrel nuts. The cerakote finish is a little darker than the other MOE FDE colors, so it is acceptable, but not a perfect color match to MOE FDE grips and stocks.
It is an Aero Precision Handguard
An Aero Precision ENHANCED hand-guard is an Aero Precision enhanced hand-guard. The issue is finding one that is available. Plenty of vendors advertised them as available but most of them lied about having it. Brownell's listed it as Discontinued for the longest time. Just by chance I looked and Brownell's was listing it as available. I ordered it and had it within 5 days. If Brownell's says they have it, they most likely will ship it immediately. If they don't have it they don't lie about having it.
Can't Beat the Quality
I found this handguard which is top notch quality here for $70 cheaper than buying it from Aero itself. The item was on back order for a while, but it was all worth it! Always recommend Aero for AR builds.
Great handguard BUT...does not come with barrel nut
It really is disappointing when I finally get my sons together for us to work on their first AR10 build and everything has gone swimmingly until it's time to attach the barrel. NO BARREL NUT INCLUDED. Yes, it is in the details, however, after installing hundreds of handguards, this is only second I have ever come across that did not include a barrel nut with a free float handguard. Without the barrel nut, the handguard is useless. So, at the penultimate moment of building our AR10, we had to stop and find out if we can source the barrel nut. I am a big fan of Aero for the most part, however, this is just untenable. Why in the world would you sell a handguard without the barrel nut included. Yes, I get that they make an AR upper receiver that will not require a barrel nut. But I would think the high majority of people buying a handguard separately probably had another alternative for the upper. It's a marketing/money grab at the expensive of their customers their time!
