Looking to take your DPMS-pattern AR .308 rifle to the next level? This enhanced Combat Rail M-LOK Handguard from Midwest Industries is purpose-built to provide added versatility and durability to your rifle, and it looks great, to boot! Each Midwest Industries AR .308 Combat Rail Handguard is machined from 6061 aluminum and treated with a hardcoat-anodized black finish. The handguard comes with a torque plate made from 4140 steel, along with an aluminum anti-rotation block. The handguard features five separate anti-rotation quick-detach sling socket points, as well as three sides of M-LOK-compatible rail slots. A single five-slot rail is included with the handguard. Designed for use on DPMS High or Low receivers, the Midwest Industries AR .308 Combat Rail Handguard will fit on receivers with a .210-inch tang height. The free-float design is available in 12.625- and 15-inch lengths and features a width of 1.75 inches and a height of 2.187 inches. The unit attaches with a heat-treated, 4140-steel barrel nut with 1 7/16-16 TPI threads. A barrel nut wrench is included for installation.

Quality handguardes

Have several AR platform long guns with Midwest Industries handguards and the are a quality product that always completes the build.

Worth having

I put it on my 308. It looks great and easy to install I have no complaints.

The way to go.

Make sure you get correct high or low profile for your upper receiver. Midwest Industries has a nice write up on this on their website. Top Tier quality at a reasonable price. You pay for the materials, workmanship and finished part. Not the name. At this point anyway....

I really enjoy having this product. I installed it on my 16 S&W M&P10 in 308 and it works great. Its built strong and overall i am really happy with it. Wish there were more in stock because i would totally buy another one!

Great product

I was looking for an Aero Precision handguard. No one had them in stock. I found this for my build. It looks way better than the Aero. Installation was easy and it feels great. My last AR 10 was very heavy. This build with Aero and Faxon parts is well balanced.

Great

This is a really nice handguard, great build quality, looks great and fits well on my DPMS LR308, Gen2 (high profile). I did go to Midwest’s website to determine the correct height for my rifle and that was fairly quick and easy. The only reason I’m not giving 5 stars is because it doesn’t have any anti rotation features. The barrel nut is steel and provides good lock up but nothing beyond friction to prevent rotation. Also, I wish Midwest would stop sending that crummy piece of plastic M-lok rail in each package with fittings that slip. It’s too much effort to install that mediocre product, I just end up throwing it away. Either send me a real $15 m-lok piece or nothing at all please. Handguard is great! Thank you.

Not 100% but very good

Bought this for my S&W 10 didnt match the receiver rail exactly. However it was easy to install and other than the rail the fit was very good and solid.

Great product at a great price

Installed easily. The directions were clear and accurate. The machining was well done. The finish is very nice. Great design and lots of attachment points.

Extra Slot Allow Dust Cover Pin to Move Forward

So disappointed after installing on my AR308. The stock dust cover pin can move so far forward that the rear of the pin comes out and renders the pin and spring inoperative. Possible solutions were to cut a grove in the pin for a “C-clip, make a longer .125” pin, both of which I didn’t like! So I ordered a new dust cover and integrated pin for more than $60 that was a seemless fit.
