AR .308 BP FIRING PIN STEEL

AR .308 BP FIRING PIN STEEL Reviews & Ratings

Wilson Combat Bullet Proof® .308 AR Firing Pin

The firing pin of a .308 AR rifle is under intense pressure and factory steel and titanium units are often subject to breakage and excessive tip erosion or wear-especially with high pressure cartridges and higher round count guns.

Since Wilson Combat’s high performance rifles deserve the highest performing parts they designed a Bullet Proof® firing pin machined from virtually unbreakable S-7 tool steel that will drop in any DPMS .308 compatible bolt.

This standard dimension firing pin is guaranteed to never break or fail and will enhance the reliability of any DPMS pattern .308 rifle and all other compatible calibers that use a .308 bolt assembly.

  • Drop-in, Mil-spec “DPMS/SR-25” bolt dimensions (not compatible with Armalite® AR-10®)
  • Hard chrome finished for corrosion protection and easy cleanup
  • Machined from virtually unbreakable S-7 tool steel

These work quite well
I installed one of these firing pins in a 308 DPMS bolt. It fit perfectly and works wonderfully. I had a bent firing pin which I replaced with one of these. The second is a spare which I'll probably never need.

Did not fit
This firing pin is too large to fit through an Aero Precision 308 phosphate bolt.

BulletProof Let Down
The firing pin I received was rough with pitting and machining marks. In addition to having a very poor chrome finish, the strike face was not flat. Who ever machined the part did not properly face it or just didn't care to check it. The end is easily .02 longer on one half and even more on the edge. My JP firing pins look like a work of art in comparison to this and some cheapo toolcraft firing pins I had laying around look 10X's better for $7. YMMV but I would avoid wasting your time and $ on this one.

does not work
Bought this pin for my diamondback rifle - put in and dry fired then went to range (drove 50 miles approx. 1 hour ) went to load and would not rack, it was stuck in . I took it to the gun smith and the pin was stuck in the bolt . waiting for Brownells to send me another one . cost me lots of time and money to get it fixed . I would not order this if you have a diamond back. and waiting now for Beownell to make good for it .
