Ok hand guards for the price
Ok, these aren't horrible and are par for the price. I'd sooner pay an extra $10 or $20 for a higher quality option. Please keep in mind that my review is not a knock on the product - I feel the price is in-line with the quality. My review is more geared towards those whom think this is a "quality" product. First off, they don't fit all Delta/slip rings equally. I bought these to be a stop gap for a 16" A1 upper - the slip ring barely fits the hand guard to the point that it rocks from side-to-side. I dropped them on my Colt 6920 to see if the fit was better, and it was but only marginally. The skinny hand guards on the Brownells XM177E2 are much better. Secondly, the heat shield. It is nothing quality nor is it installed in the usual USGI/Colt fashion but is skewered by the plastic of the hand guard in some sort of rivet style - again the Brownells XM177E2 hand guards are much better. The bottom line: I would not ever use these for anything serious. Thankfully the price is in-line with the quality so I do not feel I am out any value, but it sure would have been nicer to have a better review.
