Well done spring
Enmedially, my rifle, which ejects from 12:45 to 3:30, absolutely does the job. I'm using an H3 buffer, and with this spring, it's a game-changer.
10/10 I will recommend this product to anyone.
Would you recommend this?
Yes, I would recommend to a friend
It works great
The prior spring in this build was very stiff and noisy. This spring is easier to charge the rifle and much quieter.
Must have
If your running a pistol length build, overgassed ar, or a suppressor...this spring does the trick. This is my second one and not my last
OUTSTANDING !
I have Wolff springs in several types of weapons so I'm already SOLD. Read a detailed research article on the improved feed and function of an AR with a combination of an H3 heavy buffer and extra power recoil spring. Used Brownells H3 and Wolff's extra power spring. WORKS !
Solved 7.62 x 39 feeding issue
PSA PA47 16" 7.62x39 Upper w/BCG and Charging Handle - 505404 - and PSA AR15 Complete Classic Lower - 5165447829 - weren't able to strip 1st round from both D&H 30 round and ASC 10 round magazines when fully loaded and bolt release was activated. Rounds got hung up on magazine edge and couldn't make it up the feed ramp for chambering while bolt mashed into lodged case. What a mess. Wolff XP recoil spring solved issue and brought things home where they need to be without modifying the magazine or needing anything else like a heavier buffer weight.
Fixed my over gassed carbine
I had an over gassed carbine that tore up the heads on my brass casings upon unlocking. In an effort to increase lock time, so as to allow the brass more time to shrink down, I purchased this spring. No more trashed brass, and the bolt still locks back on an empty mag on both .223 and 5.56!
A must for 9mm ARs
I'm running this spring in a PSA 16 inch 9mm upper assembly and bolt with a PSA heavy 9mm buffer. With the original carbine spring, the recoil impulse was far too pronounced for the caliber, and I was getting a little gas in the face and a lot of fouling in the action. Just changing out the original buffer spring for the Wolff XP carbine spring instantly cured all issues. It actually kept the gun running a good deal cleaner, due to the stronger spring keeping the action closed somewhat longer resulting in more complete combustion with less fouling getting blown back into the action. The rifle has been utterly reliable with every 115 grain load I've tried. These blowback guns run, and especially feel better with a heavy spring and buffer combo. IMO it's a must have.
High quality spring at great price
Bought this recoil spring for heavier hunting loads and it works perfectly! The rifle cycles smoother and there isn't that annoying twang that the factory spring had. Tried bullet weights for 55 grain all the way to 70 grain with various powder charges and all cycled fine. Lighter weight bullets, 53 grains and under, had issues if the loads were on the lighter side. But light loads are not what this spring was designed for, so it was to be expected.
