AR-15/M16 V1 EXTENDED BOLT RELEASE

AR-15/M16 V1 EXTENDED BOLT RELEASE Reviews & Ratings

Extended release lever speeds magazine changes and enhances the shooter’s ability to clear jams, double feeds, and malfunctions quickly and safely. Lets you catch and release the bolt with the trigger finger inside the triggerguard, instead of with your off hand. Push upward on the lever to lock the bolt rearward; push lightly downward to release it. Both operations can be performed without removing your hand from the pistol grip. EBRv1 clamps to your rifle’s existing bolt release. Can be installed or removed in minutes with no permanent alteration to your rifle.

SPECS: Machined steel, matte black finish. 2 1/4" (5.3cm) long. 1/2 oz. (14g) wt.

Worth It
Fast and easy install * Works like designed * Will be getting more for other AR's. Be careful you don't loose the spring when taking off the original bolt release.

ONE OF THE VERY FEW AR MUST HAVES
THIS IS ABSOLUTELY ONE OF THE VERY FEW MUST HAVES OUT OF ALL THE JUNK YOU CAN BOLT ONTO THE AR THIS SMALL PART IS PHENOMENAL. A MUST HAVE FOR THE AVID AR SHOOTER ALMOST CUTS RELOAD TIME IN HALF. BECAUSE YOU CAN KEEP BOTH HANDS ON THE RIFLE WHERE THEY BELONG AND DONT HAVE TO BREAK YOUR GRIP IS WHAT MAKES THIS SMALL PART AMAZING. THE POSITION OF THE END OF THE RELEASE IS SO NATURAL ITS RIGHT NEXT TO THE MAG RELEASE. WITH YOUR TRIGGER FINGER STRAIGHT ALONG THE SIDE OF THE GUN DURING A MAG CHANGE ALL YOU HAVE TO DO TO RELEASE THE BOLT IS TO SWEEP YOUR TRIGGER FINGER DOWNWARD ABOUT 1/2" AND YOUR READY TO GO. CANT SAY ENOUGH GOOD THINGS ABOUT THIS SMALL PART. BUY IT!! BUY IT!!

AR-15 Ambi Fitment
Purchased this to try on several AR-15 lowers. Sig 516, Sig M400 (it uses the same lower at the 516), a Windham lower and, a Rock River Lower. It works on all of them. Drops in easily. But, use caution when you are trying to use a small punch to remove the roll pin. Put a cloth or something round the entire area or you'll get to bare metal at the speed of light! Suggest save your pin. The one that normally comes with this EBRv1 may or, may not be in the package......And, slowly does it and, it'll drop right in. Also, use caution you don't lose the pin and spring under the latch......it can fly out or fall out and, they are small......hard to find etc. It is well designed in my opinion, solid and does it's job. but, I docked it a star because for my taste.....I would like the part that goes thru the trigger housing area, to be about 1/8" longer and, it should be bent down a few degree's to keep it down slightly lower for ease of operation. I also have a nice slip over one I bought from Tactical Link on the M400, I found that I had to bend that Tac Link one slightly out away from the lower, in order to keep it from contacting the lower where it goes thru the trigger housing......Before I did that, I was having trouble with the system failing to lock back the bolt after the mag was empty. Which is a pain because you're never sure if you had a FTF or, not. The Sig's (M400/516) need a straight down handle so it doesn't hit the left side mag release. The ambi bolt release I like the best, I bought from Troy industries.......the handles slight longer and, on the Windham and RRA's lowers it doesn't touch anything. If anyone would like to know the number of that my email is below, or they are easily found at both sites......Hope this helps.......

Not impressed, rather have the BAD lever
Not impressed with it. I installed it and fit was not quite right. I feel the Magpul was better and easier to install. I wanted to give it a chance and its not for me. Will get Magpul for the next one.
