The MOE SL® Hand Guard, Carbine-Length – AR15/M4 for firearms with carbine-length gas systems and an A2 front sight* provides modular flexibility with M-LOK® accessory slots in a lightweight, sleek, cost-effective design. Designed with versatility in mind, M-LOK slots at the two, six, and ten o'clock positions allow the attachment of optional Picatinny rail sections and other direct-attach M-LOK accessories for the mounting of tactical lights, slings, grips, etc.

Reinforced, heat-resistant polymer construction provides operational durability without the weight and expense of an aluminum rail hand guard. A large front extension and lower lip protects the user from the hot front sight assembly and maximizes useable hand guard length.

Fits Windham Weaponry Railed Gas Block

I installed this to make a slimmer pack rifle out of my WW 300 BLK carbine. Im writing because these handguards are hot or miss whether they fit railed gas blocks instead of the A2 front sight. Its a tight fit, but the guard DOES work with the WW gas block without modification. Pictures below. That said, Im surprised Magpul didnt take 1mm off of the hand guard in that area to make the part fit all gas blocks by default rather than just the A2.

Make certain it's compatible.

Make certain you either have a compatible hand guard ferrule/keeper at the gas block. It doesn't fit a standard Colt. Fit at the Delta Ring is okay, but you may have to do a little grinding to make it fit correctly.

Nice Feel and Good Buy

I put this hand guard on my S&W Sport II and it feels great. It took me a little while to figure out the tricks to getting it on and off, but now that I figured it out, it is a fairly easy task. The only reason I didn't give this a 5-star review was that the inside lock-nuts for the Magpul rails I mounted would not fit through the M-LOK slots and I needed to remove the guard to install. Not a big deal, but not what I was expecting. I was probably doing something wrong, but for the life of me, I don't know what that could have been. I highly recommend the guard and would purchase another if the opportunity arises.

Perfect replacement for 7" hand guard.

I have a 16" carbine with a high quality quad rail on it and changed it out for the MOE SL because I don't like the looks of a 16" barreled carbine with a 7" hand guard. The SL gives the look and more importantly, the feel of a mid length carbine and makes the barrel length look appropriate. Very handy and practical with only two M LOK attachments. One for a light and one for the sling attachment. I like how you can extend your hand further out on the hand guard. Was going to sell the gun because of the barrel length, now I'm not.
