The MOE (Magpul Original Equipment) M-LOK Hand Guard, Carbine-Length – AR15/M4 is for firearms with carbine-length gas systems. It combines the light weight of a standard hand guard with modular flexibility of Magpul’s M-LOK system.

Designed with versatility in mind, M-LOK slots at the two, six, and ten o'clock positions allow the attachment of optional 1913 Picatinny rail sections and other M-LOK accessories for the direct mounting of tactical lights, slings, grips, etc.

Its reinforced, heat-resistant polymer construction provides operational durability without the weight and expense of an aluminum rail hand guard. Front extensions and the lower lip provide additional operator protection from a hot front sight assembly.

Just what I was looking for.

Bought this set to update my old Bushmaster with more mounting options for lights and optics. (still had the A2 round handguards ). Was using a very old Surefire WML mount that clamped around the front sight tower and, lets face it, things age out with regards to functionality. Easy to follow instructions and it snapped together with little to no fuss. For sure this is a different feel in my hands from the old round handguard. Not a negative, just an observation. Adding the Picatinny sections next. Still trying to decide where to locate them . First world problems, who'd a thunk it?

Good product but read mounting info.

Great hand guard and easy to install. One thing I missed in the description you can not mount M-Lok product on top of this hand guard. Only sides and bottom so if your planning to mount rail and front sights buy something with the rail built in. My mistake not Brownell or Magpul.
