Put in an A2 buttstock or your range bag
How are you going to clear a stuck case if you don't have one of these? Good tool for emergency cleaning in the field.

Almost fits
Very cool to have this kit in my M16 for emergencies, the only problem with the deluxe kit is that it doesn’t quite fit in, had to eliminate the brushes and cloth wipes, unless you have any other way to pack it in that would fit better

AR-15 Buttstock Cleaning Kit
Nice buttstock cleaning kit and just like the original in terms of appearance and quality. However, the kit was missing the tip for the cleaning cloth. Instead of having to return the entire kit and pay for shipping charges and go back and forth, Brownells simply sent me just the missing part which was such great customer service. Thank you, Brownells for a smooth transition.

AR 15 Buttstock Cleaning Kit
Really nice, just like the original minus the CLP bottle and cleaning pads. Good quality. This unit looks solid. I hope the cleaning rod handle lasts. The handle for the original cleaning kit for the M1A broke after a few uses (US made but not from Brownells).

cleaning kit, buttstock
Used to clad the chamber. This is a new Colt AR 15and the chamber was real dirty. I spent about an hour cleanng the rifle bore. Well worth the money.

Everything needed to clean an AR
Exactly what you need to clean the AR, and better than we had in Vietnam. Tip: add patches and the firing pin retaining pin (a high loss item if you are cleaning the rifle after a long day in the bush). While there is little room to add anything else, an oil cylinder for an M1 will, with some ingenuity, fit in the original AR stock. From there on, it's an easy task to break down the AR while away from your bench and clean the piece for the next day.

Great Kit
If you like the military issue kits, this kit is dead on. 8-36 threads. Fantastic nylon pouch. I would definitely recommend.
