AR-15/M16 BUFFER TUBES

AR-15/M16 BUFFER TUBES Reviews & Ratings

Machined aluminum receiver extension tubes accept an M4-style adjustable carbine buttstock. Six precision-machined notches on the underside provide plenty of options for setting length-of-pull. Perfect for a custom build, installing a mil-spec or commercial stock on a civilian carbine, or updating a fixed-stock rifle with an adjustable M4 stock. Machined from a lightweight aluminum extrusion then hardcoat anodized, and dry film lube-coated inside for smooth movement of the buffer and buffer spring. Requires carbine recoil spring and buffer, lock ring, and receiver plate, all available separately.

SPECS: Aluminum, hardcoat anodized, matte black. 7-7?8" (20cm) long. Mil-spec – 7-3/16” (18.25cm) long, 1.145" O.D.

Feels very sturdy.
Used on a new build. Extension feels very sturdy, perhaps even slightly heavier that some other extensions on the market. Magpul stock fits nice and snug.

Good for the price
Though this buffer tube isn't really mil spec its still got good fit and finish for the price. I recommend it.

Great product for the money
I've mounted this on a new AR build. It worked perfectly. No issues whatsoever. It looks good, functions perfectly, and for the money, this was a good buy. I will certainly buy many more of these.

Not really Mil-Spec
Since this receiver extension has an angled end it will not allow the magpul MOE stock detent to engage in the first hole in the stock. This prevents the MOE stock to fully collapse. Essentially the extension bottoms out because the end of MagPul stocks is closed, not open. Aside from that it is a nice receiver extension.

Too Long
Purchased this to put on a Bushmaster. It is 1/2 inch too long and sticks out the end of the buttstock when completely collapsed.
3
Not Mil Spec
This Tube is not Mil-Spec as listed on Brownells.
