Best Barrel Wrench
Built like a tank. 5 pins to engage the barrel nut virtually guarantees no painful slips when you are torquing down that nut. Both 3/8 and 1/2 squares for either size torque wrench head. Should fit any mil-spec AR-15 barrel nut. This one also fits a Yankee Hill Machine AR-15 handguard or Aero Precision M5E1 (308) receiver, but make sure you order the tool for your specific barrel nut. Count the holes/teeth on your barrel nut. Fortunately, the tech at Precision Reflex couldnt have been more helpful - emailed a detailed drawing of all 3 versions to me. Combine this with a Midwest Industries receiver rod and barrel installation will go as smoothly as possible.

Great tool!
Ordered this tool as the price was right and reviews were good. Works perfectly with mil-spec barrel nuts. No damage to teeth at all. Wish I'd bought this years ago. Buy with confidence.

THE BEST
I have changed hundreds of AR 15 Barrels. I have used dozens of different wrenches. This wrench is the best there is. It is well made. Does it's job well and is a joy to use when changing a barrel.

Perfect for cmp
Works perfectly on DPMS or Rock River - NRA / CMP style free float tube couldn't be happier and have done dozens of them with this tool.

This wrench is more than I expected
I just received this wrench and i am amazed at the quality. The wrench is heavily constructed, strong pins that fit my Nordic NC-1 barrel nut and fits right with my 1/2 inch torque wrench. I am sure this item will handle as many rifles as I care to build. Typical Brownells shipping ... 2nd day express. What more can one ask for ?

Outstanding 'Automotive Grade' Tool
Purchased this for first AR build. Used to install a DD barrel with a Nordic Components FF Hand guard Barrel Nut. Fit on the barrel nut was perfect. Torquing was easy. Did not have a problem slipping this over my LowPro DD gas block already on the barrel. The clearance however WAS very close. This tool is so stout that one can easily 'hog out' the center for other slightly taller gas blocks. You'll have about 1/8" you can remove. Also, as someone else notes the tool can be cut to allow slipping over the barrel if you can't clear the block on an installed barrel. A side benefit of that cut is realigning while the gas tube is installed (if minor adjustment is needed). It would be a 5+ if the tool were available with one stud removed and a cutout already done. NOTE: no worries about breakage here, BUT if you have a high torque (60 -100 ft lbs) be sure the tool is flush to the nut as you can bend/break a stud by improper alignment.

Brutal!
This wrench FITS the Smith&Wesson MP-10 .308 rifle perfectly. It is a BRUTE, fits the nut like a glove and has clearance for the barrel.

Works great
Wrench is heavy duty and up to the task. I didn't want to remove my FSB to install the bbl., so I decided to just cut a slot in the wrench to fit the bbl. through. I felt this would allow the wrench to be used in most all applications. Worked great.

Best tool for the job!!!
I bought this tool with my new barrel nut after completely ruining my existing one by trying to use an AR15 multi-tool. Used it within minutes of it being delivered. The tool is a thick, heavy, solid chunk of metal... there is no questioning its durability! The 5 studs fit very snugly (almost too snug) on to barrel nut giving excellent traction with no slippage at all. I like the ability to use a ratchet/breaker bar/torque wrench without having to work around the handle on the multi-tool. The multi-tools are good for the light duty/low-torque applications, but do yourself a favor and get one of these for a barrel wrench. It will save you money on barrel nuts, time, frustration, and busted knuckles from the multi-tool slipping.
