Complete bolt assembly is precision machined from an ultra-strong steel alloy to last up to 10 times longer than a standard carbon steel bolt, minimizing the risk of bolt failure during a critical engagement. SAE 9310 steel has a tough, ductile inner core highly resistant to stress fracturing, with a hard outer surface that resists galling and wear, to ensure a service life of up to 60,000 rounds. This is the same steel used in the transmission gears of Formula 1 race cars, so it’s ideal for high-impact, high-heat applications like sustained full-auto fire. Meticulously machined radiuses on all 90-degree corners on the locking lugs help distribute impact force evenly and further reduce risk of premature wear and cracking. Fully supported extractor face and precise extractor engagement further ensure smooth, reliable cycling. Bolts are available individually, or in a completion group, which includes the bolt, firing pin, cam pin and firing pin retaining pin. Available caliber 223.

SPECS: SAE 9310 nickel-chromium-molybdenum steel, black nitrate. Fully assembled with extractor, gas rings, ejector, pins, and springs installed. .223 fits AR-15/M16 and clones. Fully compatible with any mil-spec bolt carrier.

JP Bolt gas rings do not need to pass the "weight test"

This reviewer does not understand that this bolt is designed 100% to be the best $ can buy. JP Enterprises Bolt Carrier Groups do not pass the "weight test". They will not. That test is not needed...That's a myth. They are excellent parts. Do not believe all that's on the internet.

The way a bolt should be made!

The bolt quality is really indescribable. If there is a perfect bolt, then this is it. I am using this bolt for a 300 BLK build. I purchased this to replace a bolt that was supposed to have been matched to the barrel I purchased (not a Brownells purchase) and the "matched" bolt was 0.0245 in. out of spec. and nearly closed on a Field gauge. I mated this bolt with the Voodoo bolt carrier w/integrated gas key, #100017585, and the WMD NiBX Cam pin, #100009957. Best decision I ever made. This bolt is true to specs. When checked with the NoGo Gauge, it was not even close to closing on it. I am 100% confident with this BCG setup and highly recommend this setup to anyone who wants a BCG you can trust with your life. I ran 80 rounds through my 300 BLK, both super and subsonic. Flawless performance. I was really interested to see how much carbon would stick to this bolt, and the cleanup was a simple wipe down with Breakfree. In addition to this bolt being extremely easy to clean, the Voodoo carrier was also just as easy.

Simply the best

Will not use any other bolt. The quality is unmatched in the industry and I will only trust my family's life with this bolt. It's as tough as it is beautiful and JP delivers again. Thanks Brownells !

Durable!

I installed this bolt in my slide-stock equipped YHM-15 .223 to enhance it's durability under prolonged rapid fire. Several thousand rounds later (and heating it up to almost cook-off tempuratures over and over) it still looks and runs great! Very satisfied!

Bright smooth finish, much easier too clean. Fit great in my S&W MP15 with Failzero bolt carrier
