Great for my Custom Build
I couldn't find exactly what I wanted but when I saw this and looked at the specs it was perfect for my project. I had a 9mm build that I was doing but couldn't find the exact muzzle brake I wanted. I ended up getting this muzzle device then center boring the internal hole to .400” of an inch for a 9mm on a metal lathe. It works amazing!!! I could not be happier glad I did it.
flamethrower
This definitely lives up to the reviews on here. On a 10.5 inch barrel this thing is an absolute flamethrower you also feel slightly less recoil. However this seems to be more of a novelty item then a practical use item as you can't see any thing but fire down sights once you fire a shot. Fun to shoot with and quite a bit louder if you are inside or at a covered range you will want multiple layers of ear protection.
Closest youll ever get to a real dragon
This brake is awesome! Not only is it one of the shortest brakes on the market but it will make you the most popular guy at the range. The fire ball that comes out of this on a 7.5 barrel is insane. Not to mention the sound. Take this to the range and watch everyone jump, its as if theyre jumping for joy. The only disclaimer that should be included on the packaging is: Warning, spare pair of underwear not included.

Needed a small affordable muzzle brake for a light weight build. This worked perfectly.
Small comp
The Brownells small compensator is 3/4” diameter and suitable for a thin (pencil) barrel. A little too small
(In my opinion) for a bull (.970) barrel. But if you’re looking for a small 22LR compensator, that is a one inch long, and 3/4” diameter, this will work.

Perfect for SR-22 handgun. Not for ARs
I would not recommend this for use on an AR. I bought it as an alternative to a thread protector on a TB Ruger SR22 handgun. As mentioned it is somewhat brownish in color. The small O.D. (.75) was important to me, as it can still be drawn from a kydex holster without any modifications or hang ups. No indexing is necessary since the ports are circumferential. It could be better if the ports were all threaded to allow small set screws to be installed in the low side ports to create a tuned brake, and for the $$$ price, seems logical.
Super cool looking thread protector!
This fits my SBR PS90 like they were made for each other. Keeps it short when I don't have the can on, protects the threads, looks awesome. Only gripe is the color, it's brownish ("brown" ells?). Otherwise, perfect.
very compact
purchased this to blend more readily with a pencil barreled Benelli MR1 carbine. allows the retaining nut to slip over the barrel when disassembling. seems to tame the harmonics on it's skinny barrel allowing for a little better accuracy & better appearance. haven't noticed any reduction in recoil or muzzle rise.
The lightest and smallest brake
This is the shortest lightest brake I've found and matches very well with lightweight AR barrels. It is even lighter than the Ranier RMC. Don't have enough testing on it for recoil (300 rounds) but first impression is that it is not as good as the RMC for recoil. It will cause some dust signature. Any lightweight carbine where weight is important and that isn't using a flash hider, for me I'll be using this.
Not very good
I shoot 3 gun and have a light weight rifle I use for Irons only - this was very simple and light weight - the only problem is I do not think it has any recoil attenuation at all. Protects the threads but does not serve the purpose - replaced with a conventional square port comp. On the other hand - it does not create a shock wave for the RO/SO so it is a good neighbor.
