Magpul's PRS GEN3 adjustable stock brought a ton of benefit to the precision-shooting world, but the added weight of the stock made it a bit much for those shooters who needed a light rifle they can hike into the backcountry and still fit to their specifications. The Magpul PRS Lite was designed to give you the flexibility you need while cutting weight and cost. Designed for use on SR25, carbine and A5 buffer tubes for both AR-15 and AR .308 rifles, the Magpul PRS Lite stock is built to handle the worst you can throw at it, because they built it to meet military needs. The design is a full 10 ounces lighter than the GEN3 PRS stock, and it still gives you .8 inches of cheek-height adjustment, as well as 1.4 inches in length-of-pull adjustment. At the butt end of the stock is a rubber pad that can be fitted for height and cant, so you can create the perfect comfortable interface between you and your gun. You'll also find a number of other great additions to the Magpul PRS Lite stock, like the 1.25-inch footman's loop, a reversible QD sling-swivel cup and an additional spot for another QD sling-swivel cup. The stock can be had in black, flat dark earth or OD green, and it's made right here in the USA.

Not a well designed stock

The stock requires a flat endplate to work, any endplate with small relief for QD etc will not work. This is a big design flaw and requires replacing the endplate. The stock is also longer than it needs to be, making it difficult to use when wearing bulky clothes or plates. The buttstock also does not slide down, it only slides up for adjustment which is not that useful.

It's better than some..

This is lighter than the original PRS and seems to be as durable, but still not all I was hoping for. Bought this to install on a AR MidRange Prone Tactical competition rifle. Stock is better than some for precision shooting, but not all it could be. My main gripe is the comb is too far back for me to utilize good cheek weld - would be nice if it was about an inch and a half towards the front of the stock. My secondary gripe is the adjustment bolts are not the same size as the directions say they are.
