A shooters stock that allows critical Length Of Pull quick adjustment that is so necessary for professionals who go from just a shirt to winter jacket or body armor. The much longer stocks like Magpul are fine if you use moderately thick clothing and never wear body armor or you just have arms like an Orangutan. :-) I used two of these stocks on standard MilSpec carbine tubes (also from Brownell's) and they have a nice snug fit, the adjustments are just like a Magpul or similar quality stocks and the B5 stocks are solid.
Functional & Well Made
Nothing to detract from this stock. Well-made, fits the extension, has more than adequate features. On the other hand, Brownell's should be ashamed of their service. Ordered in November and a day later treated to a backorder notice. Early April I get a "Do you still want it" email. Respond immediately and received a second email that it will processed. A week later I get notified of a price increase and to add insult to the injury in lieu of 2-day FedEx it's dispatched economy service.
AWESOME Magpul Alternative
This stock is amazing if your precision AR is running a carbine tube. I decided to buy the 15 version for my AR-10 (as opposed to the 10) because after measuring I realized that the position I would lock the stock at would leave plenty of space for the charging handle (though it would hit the cheek riser fully closed). Adjustments are easy to use and don't loosen during use. The stock doesn't seem excessively heavy, and using it with a bag is a breeze given how big the flat space along the bottom of the stock is. I think it looks so much better than LMT or Magpul options, though that is subjective. No issues with this purchase!
Well worth it!
This is an economical attractive alternative to the Modular Driven Technologies and Magpul PRS. It's a significant step up from the Luth-AR. All three have their place in the market. Some are concerned about overall weight, some with range of variations for fit, and some with variety of accessories. This is well-made and arrives in minimalist packaging (i.e., no literature or information!)
Beard hair beware
Very nice stock. Solid construction without weighing a ton adjustments are as tactile and positive as you can get with polymer. As the title suggests, both the LOP and cheek riser painfully thinned out my facial hair. I put this on my Larue 6.5cm and it works well.
