ARM.co low profile 71 sight set for AR-15
Solid sight package. Constructed out of very durable polymer, my guess , glass filled nylon.
I noticed initially that the sights didn’t seem to seat well at first glance. However, considering that they were new , I operated the opening sequence multiple times and found no evidence that they had not completely and securely seated. When ordering this sight set ,realize that they were designed not to come to a perfectly vertical position when fully seated.
Well worth the money.
Having spent untold amounts of money on sights/optics I had been unable to find a quality "cheap" set of flip-ups. Searching for a set for a "truck gun" was tough. Leary at first, I went ahead and pulled the trigger so to speak. I can say the search is over. Best set of polymer sights I've delt with. For the money, this is it. I was very happy and can say for sure another set of these will grace another of my builds.
I prefer these over Magpuls MBUS
These are as nice of a quality as Magpuls Buckup Sights. I prefer how these look on a rifle over Magpuls.
I should've known better
I actually use my BUIS, and train with them as a real backup to my optics. These sights are somewhat inconsistent in how they pop up, especially the rear. They don't lock when up, and they don't even have a clearly defined "up" position, in that they can be easily nudged to a more vertical orientation after the buttons are depressed to flip them up. They feel mushy when up. I had a hard time getting them zeroed, and have little confidence in them. They're better than nothing, and actually seem pretty well made, but are terribly designed, hence the 2 star rating, rather than 1 star. I believe it's ultimately just a lousy design, and wish I'd have spent a little more on better sights, or waited until something else was back in stock.
