HUGE IMPROVEMENT FOR MY RIFLE
I shoot ground squirrels every spring; three trips, four days per trip. I shoot in sub-freezing weather, from a bench. The original Colt grip on my HBAR was too angled for me, and was very uncomfortable. As I grew older, this became more of a problem. A few years ago, I installed the Daniels Defense grip. Problem solved! The angle is more straight, and is MUCH better for shooting 200-1200 rounds a day from a seated, benchrest position. Also, I've had a few opportunities that required me to shoot with the rifle rested on the top of a tall fence post. This grip makes that position easy! Also, the texture is great when conditions are wet.
Good Grip
Didn't fit exactly but installs if you fit the pin in the trigger guard first and then bolt the grip to the receiver. This creates a small amount of stress to the unit that should not be a problem. I like the feel of the grip.
Awesome grip
I really like the Daniel Defense grip. I first bought one a few years ago and since then have continued to buy them. I usually prefer the one with no trigger guard since I can use the flip down mil-spec trigger guard. However, everywhere was out of them and Brownells appears to only carry the trigger guard type and I've bought them in the past as well. The grip angle is natural, the palm swells are comfortable, and the over molding is comfortable and grips well. People with larger hands or longer fingers may find them small like the regular A2 grip and prefer a grip with a beavertail. For my hand, it fits well and I'm happy with them. Thanks for reading.
This is a must have
Very soft compared to the original grip. The curve is cool because you get additional comfort on hand. I highly recommend this item.
Love it
Fits nicely, installs easily, and feels great in the hand.
Great Grip
Product is great material for great stability. Easy installation and Im a big fan of the enhanced trigger guard
Awesome
Bought this for AR15 pistol build. This thing is awesome. Looks and feels great. I will be getting another one for an AR9 build. Love the integrated trigger guard. Don't hesitate to buy this grip.
Great fit, great product
Replaced a Magpul MOE grip and MOE enhanced trigger guard. The cost is a wash since this is more expensive but has the integrated trigger guard. The grip is nice and sticky, but will not leave residue. Includes a cap for storage within the grip, or you can drop this. Guard continues the angle on the AR lower, looks very nice. The concave thumb contour is on both sides of the grip, so southpaws (myself included) rejoice. Installation time: under 5 minutes.
Great grip, no hex key, brown really?
These grips are excellent. I already own one in black, purchased this one in brown, and would buy another. So why only four stars you ask? Well the trigger guard is secured using a set screw that requires a 1/16 in. hex key but DD does not provide one with the grip. Also what's up with the color "brown"? I needed FDE, and I could have gone with that company that begins with "M", but I really like this grip so is was definitely a mismatch compromise to buy this. Come on DD folks need to match FDE not light brown.
