The Omega Rail features an integral QD sling swivel mount, with rotation limiter, and an uninterrupted upper rail platform. This light weight rail system is meticulously CNC machined from Aircraft Grade Aluminum and is Military Specification Type III Hard Coat Anodized. All the Omega Rail fasteners are military specification.

Set screws reversed/beats up barrel nut.

The set screws for this DD Omega 7 rail were installed in reverse from the factory. This made a quick drop in installation into a far longer than needed event. With the set screws in reverse it was not possible to install the rail without beating up the barrel nut on my nice new rifle. Upon realizing their mistake I had to back the four set screws completely out then reinstall them in the correct orientation (also needed to clean the threads and add my own thread locker). That may sound easy but to do so you had to reverse them through the rail one-quarter turn at a time. It does, however, look very nice and seems to be machined and anodized with excellence. I expect more from a $189.00 drop in quad rail. Especially one that is made in the USA. Such a simple issue squeaks by QA and this happens. Be sure to check the four set screws before you begin your installation.
