Simple and effective
My favorite buttstock for carbines
I really like this product and have changed out collapsible buttstocks sometimes. You need to check out the buffer tube as a non mil-spec tube can have the slant on the sections with the stops too far forward. Also, you might have to unscrew the buffer tube one revolution for the locking screw to go clear through. I also keep fully threaded screws on hand because they are thinner than the partially threaded screws magpul sends. I put an extended PRS buttpad on to get the right distance on the cheek weld.
Easy & good looking fix for featureless!
Very comfortable and easy to equip stock. I like how it looks it goes well with my MonsterMan Grip. Thank you for piece of mind and easy buying. I have nothing negative to say about it.
Good for CA builds
I live in CA, so I had to swap my normal Magpul stock for this one to make it legal. The whole process took 2 or 3 minutes, and this stock went on easily. It also feels really good and sturdy, with no wobbling like the adjustable stocks. Only problem I could see with this is the length of pull being too short for some people. I'm kind of a smaller guy so it was fine for me, but if you're super tall, you might want to switch to a rifle length stock.
great stock
I live in new york so i had to buy a fixed stock for my ar15 and at this point i dont know if i would get a different one even if i could have an adjustable stock. It fits tight with no movement, and is the perfect length. The different sling attachments make it very versatile. I will continue to use this stock on future builds for sure.
Great all around stock..
The length is perfect for me and the cheek weld is even better. I started running a Trijicon TA33R-8 and for proper eye relief my cheek would rest on the buffer tube of a collapsible stock. This stock fixed that as the tube is never exposed.
Most for the $.
Living in NY with the Unsafe act I was forced to make my rifles "compliant". Because all of the criminals here are worried of the legality of their weapons. There is a lot of ugly & over priced stuff floating around local shops. I found this by accident & couldn't be happier. It's priced right, quality, & works"." Not to mention its stamped "fixed"; It has the perfect LOP for me. I highly recommend this especially combined with Brownell's customer service you can't go wrong!
Great Look for NJ rifle
Living in NJ, you are limited to what you can have on your rifle. I didn't to have a fake collapsed stock because I am using a heavy carbine buffer for my LWRC and I wanted something more permanent than a pinned stock. This stock looks and feels awesome. I also like how it says "MOE Fixed" on the side of the stock because it almost looks to cool for NJ. I ordered 2 of them, one for my wife's rifle and the other for mine. I thought it was a little short for my rifle, so I drilled a hole where I wanted it on the bottom of the buffer tube's concave. It's solid. A must have for someone in an AWB state.
Excellent Replacment!
I don't like adjustable carbine stocks. They're not helpful and I don't see the advantage for me since I shoot with the biggest length of pull. Besides, it's an extra step. I replaced it with the MOE carbine stock & I love it. I have to add a butt plate to get the perfect LOP but I didn't care. This is a well made stock. I highly recommend it. Simple to install, too.
