Very Nice, Great Success
They fit two CR123A batteries. I put them in any compatible rifle that uses 123's just so I have backups on hand. I usually put a small strip of electrical tape over the contacts of the battery to make sure when I need them they'll be good to go. The seal is extremely tight. Water definitely won't be getting in... might put up a small flight to open it up though.
Great Addition
Since I have a SureFire 600DF on my rifle this item is the perfect addition to have. With two of the 123 batteries as a spare power source, at hand one less thing to worry about. Great idea.
Another great Magpul idea
I have 2 AR 15s, both have Magpul pistol grips and stocks and rifle lights that use 123 batteries. I carry a spare set of 123 batteries in the grip or in the stock. Carrying batteries in the grip core prevents the lithium batteries from arcing while being carried in your pocket.
Great Addition
Much more useful than plug that comes with the standard Magpul grip. Keeps spare batteries handy with no rattle.

If you use the 123A batteries then this is an absolute must.
Perfect to store your exra batteries
Easy to install, waterproof, and out of the way. The grip of your AR is the perfect place to store your extra batteries for your optics and light. The only reason I gave this 4 stars instead of 5 is because of Magpul's grip itself. The "door" is somewhat hard to open, but that isn't really an issue with this product as it is an accessory to the grip. Also, I suppose it is better that it is hard to open vs it falling out all the time.
Great Storage
Simple to use & keeps a spare set of CR123 batteries handy. The release can be hard to hit sometimes, but that keeps it from accidentally dropping the core when you're moving, slinging the rifle, changing positions, etc.
