The MBUS Pro (Magpul® Back-Up Sight) is a corrosion-resistant all-steel back-up sighting solution that delivers maximum functionality and strength with minimum bulk at a price that's even smaller than its size.

The dual aperture, windage adjustable Rear and no-tool, elevation adjustable Front Sights excel in all 1913 Picatinny rail mounting applications, including rail-height gas blocks. Positive detents keep the MBUS Pro Front and Rear at standard AR sight height when deployed, and so low when they are stowed that you'll never notice them until they're needed. Narrow width Front is compatible with most IR aiming laser and light installations for the professional user.

Good back ups

Its a great back up rear sight. More reliable than its polymer counter part. It has a good rugged construction with easy to use flip down for night/CQB aim.

Very nice rear sight

Got this to put on my Dad's BRN-180 because we both wanted a slightly less bulky iron sight than the standard Magpul MBUS. This does everything that it does, but is noticeably lower-profile when folded for storage. The flipside of that is that if you don't need or want a smaller folded profile, the standard polymer MBUS does everything this does for less money. It's up to you to decide what is more important for your needs.

Solid rear sight.

Sold sight. Lays super flat! Build is very solid. No jiggling. Adjustable window for near and far shots.

Good mbus

I have the complete set and bought just one backup for a rifle that has an A2 front sight as I've stated in the other comment the only problem I have with the rear sight is that pulling it into the up position it is made narrow but it's kind of stiff and not much to grab ahold of to deploy it in action quickly but but I still like the quality of the sight

good back up sight

this is a very sturdy well built flip up sight! used it on my 556/9mm sbr with no problems! sight has no lock on it like troy sights! but wont come down easy unless pushed down! but if snagged on something hard theres a possibility! overall good rear sight! well finished! all steel!

recoil sensitive?

my S&W M&P10 application suffered from inadequate detent s with (so-far) commercial ammo shake-down. I have as-yet to test after (VERY carefully) dismantled & stretched the main folder detent spring. I'm afraid to take apart the aperture pivot to try the same on that aspect of the rear sight. Otherwise, I am ecstatic with the fit & finish!
