AR-15 MAGAZINE CATCH AMBIDEXTROUS

AR-15 MAGAZINE CATCH AMBIDEXTROUS Reviews & Ratings

Forever the AR-15 has been a right-handed person’s tool. With Ambidextrous controls evolving, it’s becoming more of a tool that everyone can use, even left-handed shooters! This Ambidextrous Mag Catch works in place of a standard mag catch to allow left-handed shooters drop their mag without having to switch to your right hand for the mag release. Easy drop-in replacement, and blends into the style of any AR.

  • Compatible with all AR15/M16 rifles
  • Installs the same as factory mag catch
  • Works with original (and aftermarket) mag release button

Best
I've tried several different kinds of AMBI catches on various builds. For lefties or those seeking an ambi setup outside of a LMT, SOLG, Antworks or other ambidextrous lower receivers, this will do the trick. The left side release lever does not protrude outward to cause snag concerns. This can be used with a Magpul BAD lever or Phase 5 Tactical bolt catch and they do not interfere with each other. If you have smaller hands or prefer it, these also pair nicely with Magpul extended mag release buttons. If using one of the previously stated Ambi lowers, you'll want the CMMG Zeroed mag catch

Ambi Mag Release great
This ambitious mag release gives you just the right amount of surface area to release the magazine. Other models have a large/wide surface area which gets hung on items as well as hitting on your gear and unintentionally releasing a full magazine.

Works well
It works as advertised and I'm going to talk a little bit more because they want 150 characters which is very weird and I will probably never review anything on this website ever again because of this goodbye

Solid, works great
Very solid ambi magazine release. Similar to the norgon design which is simple, solid, but works. Easy install, simply back out existing magazine release and screw this in... done.

Makes sense
It makes sense to me, a right handed, to have the magazine catch release on the same side as the bolt release, and the safety . It’s a visual thing to have the operating controls on the same side of the receiver. I really like this magazine release.

Perfect fit in my AR308/AR10
As a lefty, I appreciate being able to drop mags without having to move my support hand. Should fit almost any LPK which accepts AR-15 parts, and fit perfectly in my AR308. Installation was super easy and has worked flawlessly so far.

Works well for me
When I first installed on DD V 7 and put a full 30 round mag in, I had to move my grip to get enough leverage to drop GI magazine. Then realized I would be using almost all the time when mag is empty and bolt locked back. With bolt locked it was very easy to drop mag using left forefinger. Just need to get use to new operation of mag release.
