AR-15 LOWER PARTS KIT

AR-15 LOWER PARTS KIT Reviews & Ratings

The Geissele AR-15 Lower Parts Kit contains all 17 parts necessary to get your lower receiver operational - minus the trigger and pistol grip. Geissele is renowned for superbly designed, meticulously manufactured products, and these parts meet their high standards. Items in the AR-15 Lower Parts Kit are manufactured to "mil-spec" (M16 / M4) dimensions to ensure optimum fit and function in your AR rifle or carbine. The Geissele AR-15 Lower Parts Kit includes:

  • Bolt catch
  • Bolt catch plunger / spring / roll pin
  • Mag release
  • Mag release button
  • Mag release spring
  • Buffer retainer spring
  • Safety
  • Buffer retainer
  • Safety detent & spring
  • Triggerguard & roll pin
  • Takedown detents & springs
  • Pivot / takedown pins

The fire control system - trigger, hammer, disconnector (and pins) - may be the most "personal" part of any custom AR-15. Along with the pistol grip, it’s the area most customizers and custom builders prefer to select very carefully. As a result Geissele omits both components from this AR-15 Lower Parts Kit so you don’t have to spend money on parts you won’t use!

Horrible experience. DO NOT BUY!
Please listen to the low star reviews. Trigger guard roll pin is way way way oversized. Impossible to install. See picture of my attempt to get it in. Stripped the outer coating of it even using the correct tool. I can't get the bolt catch roll pin in either. I ordered a CMMG roll pin and that seems smaller. I'm guessing the bolt catch roll pin is out of spec too. Now I need to figure out how to get these roll pins out of my lower without damaging it. Unacceptable from Geissele.

Horrible
Lower parts kit was missing parts, and came with no instructions, all parts in one bag with no identification

BAD PRODUCT!
This parts kit is terrible quality. Aside from the poor finish, some items are out of spec and WILL NOT WORK. For example, in both of the Geissele kits I have the bolt catch was out spec, so it wouldn't catch the bolt with not mag; and it wouldn't catch the magazine follower on an empty mag so the follower would prevent the bolt from moving forward. I bought a couple Aero Precision kits for only 35 bucks (vs 50 for Geissele) and they work great.

Very Disappointed (100-025-740WB)
Bill Geissele's a bright guy but he uses his master craftsmanship to sell junk sometimes and this is one time. I suspect this LPK was manufactured in China and Geissele threw his name on the packaging. His stock is way down in my book.

Complete garbage kit
DO NOT BUY THIS KIT. Takedown pins are insanely tight I have to use a punch and mallet to take my gun apart. Roll pins are also to big. When I put in trigger roll pin it literally had metal shavings coming off roll pin from it being to large. Bolt catch roll pin is still not even all the way in using a punch and mallet it wont even more a mm.

Not Worth It
Product arrives in a plastic bag with no branding what so ever. Not even sure if I even got the Geissele lower parts kit I ordered. Anodizing is grey and not black. Really looks silly when you get a quality lower receiver that has a solid black anodizing and grey lower parts kit. Push pins did not fit, and were out of spec. Ended up damaging my receiver before getting properly spec'd push pins at my LGS. I would not recommend and would look elsewhere, it is a solid deal, but you "get what you pay for" and unfortunately, this did not live up to the Geissele reputation.
