AR-15 LOW PROFILE GAS BLOCK

AR-15 LOW PROFILE GAS BLOCK Reviews & Ratings

Though there are other adjustable gas blocks on the market, only the ODIN Works AR-15 Adjustable Low Profile Gas Block gives you an incredible amount of versatility with an unprecedented number of stops, giving users 20 different points to truly fine-tune gas flow. Each ODIN Works adjustable gas block is machined from carbon steel and treated with a black-nitride finish. The front-facing adjustment screw is made from Inconel, which allows it to withstand the high temperatures encountered during rapid firing. No set screws are needed to adjust this block, and options are available to fit .750, .875 and .936 gas-block journals.

Does not fit pistol length gas systems

What Reviewers Are Saying
Installation and Fit
60%
Many users commend the gas block for its straightforward installation process. However, several reviews indicate compatibility issues with certain handguards, leading to a need for additional modifications. A recurring point is that it may not fit well under some slim free float rails, affecting rod usability.
Performance and Adjustability
70%
Reviewers highlight the gas block's ability to finely tune gas flow, enhancing rifle performance and reducing recoil. Despite this, some users report clogging over time, requiring them to switch to non-adjustable gas blocks for reliability. This conflicting feedback showcases varying experiences regarding performance longevity.
Customer Service
40%
Customer service experiences are mixed among users. While some received excellent help with their issues, others faced challenges with response times and lack of support for replacement parts. This inconsistency can lead to frustration and affects overall satisfaction.
Product Design and Build Quality
50%
While the build quality of the gas block is generally appreciated, a significant number of users describe it as bulky or oversized, which can hinder compatibility with lower-profile builds. Some noted the weight of the block and its design as potential downsides and believe revisions could enhance user experience.
Overall User Satisfaction
55%
The product garners a mixed reception among users; some absolutely love the performance and ease of adjustments, while others express concern over its fit and reliability issues. This divide reflects a varied experience with the gas block, suggesting it may be best suited for specific builds.

Be careful of your intended use
Have these on a pair of AR10s in both .308 and 6.5 Creedmoor. On the 6.5 CM it's blocked down as low as it can get and the bolt still cycles, although it seems to be gassed ok. I contacted Odin and they say it will not totally block the gas and a 6.5 will still cycle. So you may or may not be able to fine tune your higher pressure rounds. On the .308, no issue at all. I can finely adjust to my load. The .308 is a 18", 6.5 is 22" and both are rifle length gas systems. It's pretty wide at the set screw block and may not clear narrow handguards, especially with the larger diameter shoulders....just measure first!
