Definitely Worth the money
This fixed the gassing and ejection issues I had with my newest 5.56 ar build instantly easy to install and a great addition for anyone who wants to make precision adjustments to their ar platform rifle Odin works makes great components.
Good adjustability
So far I like this gas block. It is fairly low profile, though Ive read it doesnt fit under some slim handguards. I have it mounted in front of a DPMS free float tube so theres no chance of a fitment problem. This gas block would be a poor choice to put under a handguard anyway because there is a locking set screw that is on a rear facing area, and another that is on the side. So it would be very difficult to access these set screws from inside a handguard. Aside from that, it works great. Im able to dial up just enough gas to work the action. Which does help minimize recoil, etc.
Watch your handguard clearance
I had this installed on an F1 firearms AR. I bought it because the adjustment screw is made of inconel which will handle the heat directly from the gas it is restricting. It works like a charm. The detents are crisp and repeatable. The adjustment is from the front and can easily be changed with the long Allen key provided. It cleared the original handguard no problems, it has such a low profile. But as most of us do with our ARs, we change parts looking for that slight advantage. The shoulder of the gas block housing the detent, spring and grub screw do not clear the very slim handguard from V Seven. And I assume it would not clear the BCM KMR either from the looks of it (I have one but did not try it from another AR). I ended up using an Odin Works tuneable gas block instead. Only problem now is, if it doesnt cycle, Ill have to take the handguard off to adjust it. If you have the clearance inside of the handguard, buy this gas block. It does what it was designed to do. Is easily adjustable so you can fine tune it in the field/ at the match. And it is made of the right material.
Works perfect without the seizing
I having been using the Odin adjustable GB for about 1.5 years on a 12.7" 6.5 grendel. I built it to be suppressed so I wanted to control the gas better than some of the other adjustable GB I have. The specs seemed great so I decided to give it a try. Unsuppressed I could completely shut off the gas and I quickly got it dialed in. I really like how it has the audible clicks which makes fine tuning much easier. I put around 500rnds through the upper before my supressor was released from jail. With the supressor on, I needed to adjust the GB again. It had not seized and turned just as freely as it had when I first adjusted it. It shut the gas completely off being suppressed as well, which is just something I always check when installing an adjustable GB. It probably has 800rnds on it now and works just like it should and I have no doubt it will work great as the years come and go.
Did not use, but product seems excellent
I bought this for an AR15 build. It would not fit under my Aero Precision S-One 15" handguard. Too much grinding would have been required to make it fit. Only 4 start because I didn't use it, but the fit and finish was excellent. The adjustment system is awesome and nice to look at. I would definitely use it if I build again with a larger handguard. I returned the item to Brownell's after finding that it did not fit. (5 stars for Brownell's awesome, awesome customer service!)
A little too fat.
I currently own 2. Allows me to properly adjust gas without worrying about coming out of adjustment. Easily readjusted if needed. Every AR should have one. On the down side the design is too big and blocky. Makes hard contact with narrow forearms. By my estimation this is not added strength, just style. A bad choice. I took a grinder and file to mine and fixed it. Now they are both perfect. I certainly hope ODIN reads this and corrects this problem on their own.
Outstanding Adjustable Gas block
Put this gas block on a 300 blackout Frankenstein gun to replace another adjustable gas block I had installed. Unfortunately, with the other block and it's design, it forced me to take off my fore grip (Diamondhead VRS-T Free Float HG "T" 15") in order to adjust the block and then lock it down with the set screw. With the Odin works I do not have to worry about the set screw with this handguard. I just bought the extra long adjustable Gas Block 7/64" Ball Wrench and I have instant adjustments. I really recommend this product, really great design.
Adjustable Gas Block
Bought this for AR10, to use suppressed.Does excellent job cotrolling over gas problem, buying another for AR15.Easy install and easy to adjust.Very good product.
Works Well
I needed a small profile adjustable gas block to fit under the UTG/Leapers hand guard and this Odin Gas Block is just the ticket. I also put 2 sets of Magpul M-Lok Rail covers on and there was plenty of clearance. Adjustment was smooth and appears solid and is easy as you can see the end of the Allen wrench going into the adjustment screw thru the M-Lok slots, just a few shots and I had the rifle functioning perfectly with the suppressor. Still need to find the setting for when I don't use it. Will be putting it on future builds.
Odin gas block
Great product, work as described, Odin's customer service is incredible. Had some issues, my mistake, they took care of it at no charge.
