The Brownells AR-15 Hammer Drop Block is a drop-in, Delrin block that helps the user gain a true feeling of trigger movement and pull weight without sacrificing their thumb. This shock-absorbing block prevents the hammer from striking the wall of the magazine well and helps eliminate damage to the receiver and hammers. This block fits into the magazine well of an AR-15 with the upper receiver open or removed.

GREAT PROTECTION

I bought one of these from Brownells a long time ago to protect my 1988, kalifornia-legal, pre-ban Colt HBAR. Being kalifornia-legal, this lower could never be replaced if I ever cracked the aluminum lower. One slip, while cleaning the trigger, and the rifle would be ruined. So, every time I get it home from shooting, I put the block in place. I just bought another one for my field kit, to use on 8-day ground squirrel hunts. Great tool.

Greatest thing since sliced bread!

Great item to put in your toolbox

This isn't a must have tool, but it makes life much easier, and you don't have to worry about breaking hammers. The fit, like the lower clamp insert, can be a tad tight at first on some lowers.
