AR-15 GAS BLOCK LOW PROFILE Reviews & Ratings

Unique, all-steel gas blocks expand the versatility of your rifle by providing a variety of accessory rail and handguard mounting options. Especially helpful in customizing short-barrelled tactical rifles. Machined from bar stock for extra strength and rigidity, then mil-spec Parkerized for exceptional wear- and corrosion-resistance. Low Profile version is a low and narrow, one-piece block designed to fit inside most free-float handguards; allows use of rifle length forearms on carbine length barrels for a clean, streamlined look and added gripping surface. Secures to barrel with included setscrews. Low Profile Slotted has a slot cut into the bottom for easy mounting and dismounting; slide the block into position and tighten the two pinch screws to snug it securely to the barrel.

I love Yankee Hill

I'm a big fan of Y.H. gas blocks. They always fit for me and always function without a hic-up. I prefer their clamp ones more but for under a free float this one fits great and gives more clearance with out contacting the guard. I've never seen any bad wear on them after heavy use. I really like their clamp ons with folding sights but they just don't always go with a build. They are steel and not aluminium which is the biggest plus. Aluminum may be lighter but wear badly on heavy use.

Great Fit. Nice set screws.

No complaints

This was the first low profile gas block I've installed. I can say it measured true to it's listed dimensions and fit my barrel perfectly. There was no need to clearance the barrel or the block with sanding and I was able to line it up to the gas port without any issues. Also had no issues with the hardware while tightening. Overall I feel the price was right and the gas block did not disappoint so it was a great deal.

I purchased the set screw block for a new build, and it fit perfectly on my new Ballistic Advantage .750 barrel. Don't know why others have had issues, maybe they received out of spec blocks, or used them on cheap barrels. Either way, I'm very happy with my purchase, as I always have been with any YHM product.
