The beavertail grip is specifically designed to retain the important lines and aesthetics of tactical rifles. It provides a comfortable grip with palm swells and and features Hogue’s exclusive Cobblestone™ pattern. Hogue’s OverMolded® collapsible buttstock features reinforced polymer construction with a rubber cheek rest and a rubber/polymer hybrid butt pad that provides snag-free shouldering. This unique design creates a snug anti-rattle friction fit that prevents unwanted movement along the buffer tube. The buttstock provides multiple swivel sleeve and sling mounting locations.

This is what my AR was missing

I finally got to try firing my Ruger AR-556 with this new stock today. (The ranges in PA have been closed) This stock is great. Now my AR just feels right, and my accuracy improved noticeably. The only drawback Ive noticed is that the stock did not come with installation instructions. The online instructions I watched were not that helpful. I recommend pulling the pin and removing the stocks locking mechanism before attempting to slide the stock over the buffer spring. It is easy to re-install the mechanism after the stock is on the rifle, just make sure not to lose the locking mechanisms spring.

Rock Island VR80 Semi Auto

I bought this for my VR80 and it does have a commercial stock. It fit perfect installs in bout 15 minutes or less. Looks Awesome fits great gives adjustability.

Hogue grip and stock

love the finger grove grips they are My go to grip for all my AR's the stock fits well snug not loose and dose not rattle and it has several positions to hook a quick detach sling .I have several stocks from other top brands and I will stick with Hogue.

superb buttstock

What can be said except a fantastic buttstock. No wiggle solid firm fit and feel with the rubber cheek weld area makes for a nice feel while shooting especially when it is cold outside. The grip improves your hold and fits my hand perfect and is so much better feel than stock grips.

Put the hammer down!

I bought this from a different vendor a year ago (on sale) but figured Id be the counter point to the only review for this product. Know your buffer tube size! If you have to hammer the stock on you have the wrong size! I put this on a MP15-22, works great! Little to no rattle in the stock and is one of my favorite butt stocks, grip is nice too but with my stubby little fingers I prefer one without the beaver tail(personal preference).

Do not recommend

The butt stock did not fit a standard beaver tail. I thought it was just the initial part get it on and it would loosen up. I was wrong, it became stuck and I had to force it off breaking the top portion of the butt stock along the molded seam. The pistol grip on the other hand is nice feels good in the hand and no issue yet. I wish I had only bought that. Bottom line- do not get the combo pack butt stock is no good but the pistol grip is good.
