These are excellent backup iron sights and for a great price, the rear aperture sight is simple and easy to adjust, the front is just like any A2 front sight post that can be adjusted with the provided tool. The fold flat and very low profile on the top rail. These are high quality products from Midwest industries, you can't go wrong with this sight set.

Used these as primary sights for action shooting matches out to 200 yards. The intermediate aperture actually works really well at all distances. At close distances it is just as fast as the normal large aperture, and at long distances its much easier to pick up "realistic" targets with the intermediate aperture than with the normal small aperture. Best of all, transitions from near to far are seamless without an aperture to flip. The only limitation i can see is the lack of bullet drop compensation for shots beyond the point blank range of your rifle, but for me and most people this is probably not an issue.

These just work. No release button but none needed, they have a stiff detent and stay up or down with no wiggle. Co-witness through Leupold RDS. I like them better than Troy back ups, which seem fragile when compared to these. The M.I.'s are solid hunks of steel from the K.I.S.S. school of thought.

My new M&P 15 came with a CTS-103 optic (dot) installed but no BUIS. Purchased and installed this set primarily due to brand reputation. Front sight went on the short rail atop the gas block. Rear sight went on at the far rear without having to relocate the optic. No clearance issues with the charging handle or anything else for that matter. Sighted in the iron sights first, then the dot. Ended up with perfect co-witness though I would have been happy to just be able to use the iron sights through the optic should the dot fail. Note that this was a fifty yard zero since I set my M&P up for home defense purposes. Thankfully the front sight tool is included; the rear is a simple twist knob for windage. Sturdy with positive lock in either position. You seemingly don't even notice them in the down position. I did break the slotted front sight attaching screw on a re-torque after a test session though I used a Fat Wrench and torqued to the recommended 35 in/lbs. Midwest explained some screws went out with an issue that might cause them to break on re-torques but within two days I received upgraded replacements. So don't panic if you break one; just make a quick call and they'll ship out the replacement screws free of charge. Note: My set was purchased 9/19 elsewhere since I was unaware Brownells offered them until recently.

Exactly what I wanted. Small backup sights to fit under my MI QD scope mount. Work great. Quick zero. Solid click into position with not buttons to find. At the sale price, excellent deal!

These new Midwest industries sights are excellent in every way. The are solid and very well made, they are low profile and look great on your rifle. They have a very positive lock up and are easy to install. The mid sized rear aperture gives you the perfect sight picture especially if you have aging eyes. These have replaced the Magpul Pro Series as my new go to BUIS for every build.

I like these a lot on my AR and bought a second set for an AR pistol. They are tough, easy to use, and represent value. My only complaint was easy to fix. The detent on the second pair was stuck hard and had to be soaked in oil overnight to adjust.

I've tried a lot of sights, including other Midwest Industries sights. I have been retrofitting all my guns with these sights recently. They are awesome. Very positive detents. No need for a lock to keep them extended. Same weight as a set of plastic Magpul BUIS's. I like the aperture size. Seems to work great with my aging eyes. Best of all the rear sight takes up little room next to the charging handle. No interference like that of sights with windage adjustment at the top of the sight. Just can't beat the price at about $100 when on sale.

I purchased this set and they are phenomenal. Very well machined with a nice finish, as is typical for all Midwest products. Unlike other reviewers, I found the rear aperture to be excellent, and because of the slightly larger field of view when looking through the rear sight Im able to easily ring steel (from small pie plates to half silhouettes) out to 400M with ease with a 14.5 barrel and M855, despite having less than perfect vision. The rear aperture is only slightly smaller than the aperture of a Matech rear sight, for those that might find that reference useful. All in all, would highly recommend them to anybody.

I have these on a Sig Sauer MCX 300 Blkout SBR. They are slim, robust and Sexy. They are pretty compact design, pretty similar to the Kac sights just with out the price tag. I would recommend them to any that wants great sights for the current price tag.
