Great general purpose forend
This is a great forend for new AR builders. Uncomplicated install, good fit. Cheap (Ebay, Amazon Chinesium specials) M-Lok accessories have fitment issues, but good quality (Magpul, Brownell's, ect) fit good. The only thing that gave me a pause is the barrel nut. Instructions say to go hand tight and a bit more. I'm used to the 3 step torque install, but 200 rounds into the new build it has not backed off or broken. Final verdict, If you are looking for a good affordable forend/rail get this.
Solid Product
Solidly built and well designed. Stays firmly in place once installed. Really enjoyed not needing special tools to tighten the barrel nut.
Good Hardware, Flaky Instructions
The handguard fits fine, and is light and solid. However the timing/alignment tool they include is useless. The instructions were vague, and should be ignored. I have install many free-float handguards of various brands on many different brands of AR's. They really should have included the proper torque range for the barrel nut rather than the alignment guide that doesn't fit the barrel nut.
Well made at a reasonable price
Great piece....coating was hard to remove for ceracoting, so well done.
Good product.
Easy to install. It seems to time perfect at 30lbs, but I went to the next slot and it measured 60lbs with my torque wrench. Good to go. Fit and finish is great. Great price when on sale. Anti-rotation tabs would give it 5 stars.
