17 Design AR Lower
I bought 2 several months ago. I built one soon after picking them up from gun store. Very happy thus far ...no complaints. It fit nicely with billet upper I had, that I used for the upper build.

Great lower - great price
I built a very nice, reliable lightweight rifle, (wifle), with one of these about a year ago. You can't touch a billet lower for this price anywhere. It has a nice finish with good anodizing, and really does look great. Just beware that 17 Design is out of business, but with Brownells and their ironclad lifetime guarantee, I wouldn't worry about it.

Good value
I have purchased several of the 17 design and manufacturing lower receivers. One for a .223 Wylde rifle and one for a 7.62x39 pistol. They both have been a breeze to assemble.

17 Design Lower
This is my second 17 Design lower. I do not have much more to add to my first review. I have noticed several writers have commented on having issues with the bolt stop catch. They said it did not sit straight, leaned right or left. I have been using Strike Industry bolt catches in my ARs. Including my last two 17 Design lowers. I have not experienced the problems the other writers noted. Also they could try using a tension pin ( roll pin ) instead of the supplied threaded pin. This may give them a tighter fit. This is a 5 STAR lower and a great value.

17 Design lower
I was looking for an other Areo lower, but are unavailable. I purchased the 17 Design lower. It has the same features, one piece trigger guard, threaded bolt catch and tension adjustment screw. I did not find any of the problems other reviewers noted. No sharp edges, all my Magpul magazines dropped free, tension screw was included and every thing functioned as it should. This appears to be a high quality receiver and I am pleased with it, actually I just ordered another.

Great lower!
I've purchased 2 of these. The lower parts kit installs easily and flawlessly. The threaded bolt catch pin is awesome. They mate very tight with my uppers and have no wobble between them. I have no complaints.

Designer-Look Lower Receiver
This is a great looking lower receiver that also works flawlessly with mil-spec components. I combined it with a BCM firing control (trigger and hammer), BCM buffer extension, buffer (H2), and buffer spring, and a CMMG Gunbuilder small parts kit. I have shot it with a 14.5" Carbine, and an 18" SPR upper receivers (both BCM) using Magpul mags with excellent performance and reliability. The threaded bolt catch pin definitely saves time with the build process. Though I like the crisp BCM trigger, it is a bit on the heavy side so I may exchange it with a Timney Targa 2-stage trigger to improve accuracy with my 18" SPR (my accuracy, not the gun's). Aside from that, I am extremely happy with my purchase.

Quality product at great price. The screw in pin on the Bolt block was especially helpful

Great Value
No issues for a Billet @ this price. For a start up company they are putting a quality product out there. They have some minor issues to work out. Which they have have already noted. Over all still I give them 5. I had no issue with the sharp points.
