This genuine Colt 11.5" Heavy Profile Barrel epitomizes modern warfare’s need for speed and mobility - AND it’s ready to install on your next AR-15 pistol or SBR. The barrels is forged from ordnance-grade carbon steel, with a chrome-lined bore and chamber, plus a traditional matte black Parkerized finish. The Colt 11.5" Heavy Profile Barrel comes with the barrel extension, M4-type (round) front handguard cap, and front sight tower/gas block ALL installed. The gas port is drilled for a carbine-length gas tube - giving you an extra measure of reliability in a pistol build.

Great, heavy barrel

Pricey but this barrel has great accuracy and takes a long time to heat up. I measured the gas port on my barrel and it is definitely .070 or less. More like .068. Perfect FBI barrel aside from the fsp.

Classic Colt quality in a not so common contour. just received this today and after close inspection and verifying headspace, indexed installation was a snap. torqued to 60 ft lbs. after a few wet/dry patches to clean bore, function fired 5 rounds at 25 yds with M4 Aimpoint using 77gr IMI MK 262 rounds, 3 were inside 1/2 inch, all five were inside one inch with clean extraction and 3 o'clock ejection. it doesn't get any better!

What is there to say about Colt hbar 11.5! Probably one of the most accurate barrels ever! I cut down FSB and turned this into FBI HRT with correct Geissele rail. It is a dream handling her! Sub moa with quality ammo and me doing my part! Quality barrel at very fair price. Fast shipping , packed fairly well

Makes a really nice pistol

During assembly i noticed the front sight had no gas port drilled in it. I contacted Brownells and the next morning i had a replacement in hand. I cant compliment the customer service enough. As for the barrel, everything is nicely machined and this 11.5 runs very well.

Good barrel but!!!!!

Great barrel actually colt product however the included barrel nut is trash two teeth deformed with just hand torque 30lbs and was a bit over sized definitely not mil spec i ened up having to replace it for build but barrel itself is good so buyer beware replace barrel nut on builds

ABSOLUTE JUNK !!

Received this 11.5" Colt heavy barrel in mid-September 2021. It has two MAJOR problems. FEED RAMPS: Someone decided to "open up" the factory machined feed ramps AFTER the barrel had been parkerized. This was most likely done after final inspection caught a bad initial feed ramp machining job. There's no other VALID reason someone would re-machine the feed ramps AFTER parkerizing UNLESS the feed ramps were found to be poorly machined upon final inspection after parkerizing. HANDGUARD END CAP: Not pinned to FSB. If you check your ORIGINAL Colt rifle, carbine, or Title II Colt you'll find a tiny pin holding the front handguard cap to the rear of FSB. In my case the cap wasn't pinned to rear of FSB. That means the cap spins 360 degrees around the barrel axis. Which means my Colt CAR handguards will spin and put pressure against the gas tube. Brownell's is sending shipping label and will refund this purchase. Meanwhile, I backordered ANOTHER one of these. If problems on that, will report them here. *** NOTE *** The SAME FEED RAMP PROBLEM as this was also on a Colt 14.5" M4 (govt profile) barrel I bought from Brownell's at same time I bought this barrel.
