AR-15 BAD-ASS PRO SAFETY SELECTORS AMBIDEXTROUS

AR-15 BAD-ASS PRO SAFETY SELECTORS AMBIDEXTROUS Reviews & Ratings

The best just got better! From the inventors of the very first fully modular, patented, ambidextrous safety selector for the AR-15 platform, Battle Arms Development is raising the bar on reliability and compatibility while lowering the price with the new generation BAD-ASS-PRO!

This professional-grade, no non-sense, duty grade semi-auto safety selector is the perfect upgrade to your AR-15. It comes standard with a reversible throw safety center with 0°-90° and 0°-60° short-throw options. The standard and short safety levers are fully interchangeable and modular to accommodate left or right-handed shooters.

The new BAD-ASS-PRO is now 100% compatible with all known(3), AR variant lower receivers, and triggers designed to work with the “Mil-Spec” AR-15 semi-auto safeties. No longer do you need a short-throw relief cut on your lower receiver to use the ambidextrous safety, simply use the provided short-throw markings sticker! No longer do you have to choose which trigger is compatible with the safety! If the trigger it will work with a “Mil-Spec” AR-15 semi-auto safety, it will work with the new BAD-ASS-PRO!

No more broken screws! Don’t settle for wiggling levers! No more stripped screw heads! The new patent-pending dovetail design and internal locking mechanism make it impossible to shear off the screw head because there is no screw head! Do not settle for spring-loaded detents that never give your safety lever that positive lock of confidence and worry about losing the small parts. The new BAD-ASS-PRO locking mechanism is robust, reliable and something you can depend your life on! The new internal locking set screw will not fall out and it is self-locking, no thread-locker is necessary! The new 5/64” set screw is also designed to resist stripping.

Battle Arms Development has perfected the ambidextrous safety with the BAD-ASS-PRO! We are so sure that you will love the new BAD-ASS-PRO, we are offering a no questions asked 30-day satisfaction guarantee (1) in addition to our limited lifetime warranty! Try it! We guarantee you will never want another ambidextrous safety ever again! Features:

  • Modular Assembly
  • Ambidextrous Controls
  • Reversible 0°- 60° or 0°- 90° Option
  • Ergonomic Lever Design for Positive Purchase
  • Limited Lifetime Warranty Against Manufacturing Defects
  • Dovetail Attachment Engineered for Ultimate Strength and Reliability
  • Patent Pending Internal Locking Mechanism Eliminates Broken Screws
  • Swiss CNC Machined Center for Ultimate Precision and Butter Smooth Operation
  • Compatible with All Known AR Variant Triggers(2) (i.e. Hiperfire, Geissele, CMC, Timney, etc.)
  • Compatible with All Known AR Variant Lower Receivers with or w/o Short-Throw Relief Cut and Markings(3)

Notes:

  1. When purchased directly from Battle Arms Development.
  2. There is no longer a “lawyer pin” like the previous BAD-ASS-ST or BAD-CASS-SA-ST short-throw safety selectors. The new BAD-ASS-PRO center will fit into all lower receivers with “Mil-Spec” safety selector hole dimensions. If the BAD-ASS-PRO safety selector is installed, on the short-throw option, in a lower receiver without the proper short-throw FIRE markings, the provided short-throw marking sticker must be used.
  3. BAD-ASS-PRO safety selector is compatible with all known, to us, AR variant lower receivers and AR variant trigger designed to work with “Mil-Spec” style AR-15 semi-auto safety selectors. However, there is always a possibility that a new lower or trigger design, unknown to us, is incompatible with our safety.

LOVE IT
I never thought I would be so excited about a safety! The detention has a very satisfying engagement and the movement is buttery smooth. Im not using it, but the 60 throw is a cool feature if thats your thing. Lastly, installation was a breeze!

Helpful upgrade for left handers
A helpful upgrade for guns used by left and right handed people. Being able to install for a 45 degree throw is awesome, makes it super easy to manipulate the lever when shooting left or right handed. Make sure you really wrench down on the set screws, to the point where you almost feel like you are over tightening them. I had one back out on me a the range and one of the levers slid off, thankfully I was able to find it in the dirt. A bit of blue loctite would probably help too.

Very High Quality
BAD Safeties are the best out there. I always use them.

Excellent safety
Well thought out design that installs easily and is much more natural for me to engage than original AR design. Liked it enough to buy another!

Great ambidextrous fire control upgrade
I'm a lefty when shooting long guns. I have installed the AR-15 Professional Safety Selector Ambidextrous by BATTLE ARMS DEVELOPMENT INC. on two rifles. The installation is quick and easy. The short throw and longer lever on the right side works best for me.

Excellent selector, installs at 60 or 90
Overall I really like it, especially the 60 setting. Quality, fit, and finish all look great. I have used Battle Arms selectors since they became available. It would be nice to have a torque spec for the set screw. The review where a lever fell off caught my attention. Can't recommend it to a friend until that is resolved.

Dumb Set Screw Design
It came with one of the set screws installed backwards. It impossible to get the screw out without an exposed head so had to send it back. Safe to say I wont be ordering the same one again.
