very good part
I saw some poor reviews but the two I received are very good and would buy again!

Fine for me
Ive bought several of these and the fit and finish was fine. Not amazing, but none of mine were rusty or in poor condition like other reviewers. Theyve held up well after several hundred rounds and the price is nice.

Wont work on Ruger American 5.56mm
I bought this to put on a Ruger American 5,.56mm (26965) bolt action rifle. The device will not "clock" properly. The crush washer is not soft enough to get the closed bottom, located on the bottom. I ordered an A1 flash hider and that solved the issue.

Dumb it doesnt come with the washer
Nice product cheap price, just dumb that it didn't come with the crush washer.

Not that impressed
This A2 flash hider looks pretty hokey next to one I pulled off a colt 6920. This has a glossy black finish, sharp edges, and the wrench flats show machine marks. Would not recommend for a decent clone of a military rifle due to the finish. It does not include a crush washer. On the positive side, the shiny black exactly matches the Faxon 20" Gunner barrel I put it on, and it only cost 8 bucks.

Disappointed with quality
I bought 2 of these for my builds. Had to return one of them because the machine marks were so pronounced. I will never buy these again. Honestly, when they sent me a replacement, the replacement was pretty bad quality but I just deciided to keep it because they tried to take care of me. Don't buy these if you care of the aesthetics of your rifle.

Not a .22 caliber
I bought one of these and will not buy any more because they are not .22 caliber regardless of what they claim. It is more like a 9mm.

Not a .22 caliber
While this part is fine and is functional on an AR-15 I'm giving this only one star because it is not a .22 caliber. It is more like for a 9mm or .308 . It is listed as .22 caliber but it is not .22 caliber. So of course it will work okay on an AR-15 but it is not for an AR-15.

Rusty black finish
The finish on these are still awful. The finish is a rusty/black. Love Brownells but they need to cut their loss on these and get a new supply.

BEWARE - THIS IS JUNK!
I've installed and removed dozens of A2 flash hiders most of which i got on ebay - never have i had one as cheaply made as this one - it broke with almost no torque applied - it's a cheap pot metal device and not real steel - wouldn't surprise me a bit if it was made in china by the DMD process - under no circumstances would i recommend this to anyone
