Perfect Buffer for AR-9mm
Works perfectly and you can't beat this price. Installed on a Aero Precision lower with a Ghost Firearms 9 mm upper and Brownells bolt carrier. I use Standard Magpul mags with the Mean endomags. No malfunctions after 5,000 rounds.
Buffer Kit
Works perfectly on my 8.5" 9mm build, smooth operation and near zero recoil. Big improvement over the 3oz buffer the lower came with. Just bought a second one to complete a build for my G-daughter, will be an easy handling AR pistol for her.
Disappointed
I am building a 9mm carbine with the New Frontier C-5 set. I ordered this buffer kit. Let’s say I am very disappointed in Brownells on this item. The item I received has been used. I’m assuming it was a return because it was covered in carbon. The top of the buffer shows wear. Now with being said, the reason I’m disappointed is the fact that I paid for a new product, not someone’s used return because they didn’t like it. This is a first time disappointment with Brownells. I’ve bought thousands of dollars of merchandise from them in the past 20 years. This item may work. I have to wait till my barrel arrives to find out. Come on guys!!! You should have at least cleaned it up before sticking it back into the bin.
does not work with my 9mm bolt carrier
bought this in hope it will cycle my 9mm bolt carrier (Brigade), but it does not, shell does not eject and jams into next round, every time. Had to return it. Brownells.com has great customer service, it is my go-to place to shop any firearms related items.
Ar9 buffer kit
Beware of this Ar9 buffer kit! I ordered and received one. It came with the buffer spring and buffer, but the spacer was nowhere to be found. So I called customer service and they sent me another one on the housesame deal, buffer spring and 5.4 oz buffer, but still no spacer in the second package. The spacer needs to be 3/4 to 7/8 long to prevent bcg overtravel and is shown on the back of packaging but does not exist in the original package. So I ordered a spacer from wing tactical which is the correct length. Item arrived promptly and was the correct dimensions. I highly recommend Wing Tactical for your ar needs. They get their orders correct! Im calling customer service in the morning for the third time to see what can be done to fix this issue.
