Deadly on Midwest Deer
I've used this American Whitetail 350 Legend ammo in many states to harvest Whitetail, Axis, and hogs. I've never needed a follow up shot and have been throughly impressed with the terminal ballistics.

Best round for my Savage
These consistently give me excellent 100 yqrd groups in my Savage Axis II 350 Legend. Only shot one deer with this round and it was an instant drop. Never had a inconsistent load, every round from every box was the same. These slightly out-performed the Winchester 180gr Power Point ammo in my rifle.

1 MOA
Used Palmetto State Armory AR-15 Lower with Nickel plated trigger Assy (EPT) paired with Bear Creek Arsenal Upper topped with a SigSauer Romeo5 Red dot. Used a 10 round DuraMag 350 Legend Mag. Was first shots out of assembled lower/upper so Lubed Bolt Carrier Group with BreakFree CLP prior to session. Rounds cycled without any issues and no signs of overpressure. Gun/Scope/Trigger/Ammo/Shooter combination netted 1 MOA groups at 100 yds. At 50 some shots went in the same hole. Previous reviews not very flattering, but my experience is that Hornady has it figured out now. Very accurate.

Wildly Inconsistent Round
Bought a few boxes over several months, every box had at least one round that failed to feed, usually catching on the feed ramp and BENDING the cartridge (I have tested several other rounds in this rifle and have had no issues like this with them.) When they did feed, the rounds were usually far too hot and I could never get the rifle zeroed. Zeroed the rifle using some Winchester Power Point, and decided to try this American Whitetail again. The round was very noticeably hotter, recoiling significantly harder, the round didn't even land remotely close to the target, and the rifle jammed trying to cycle the next round. I cannot in any capacity recommend American Whitetail 350 to anyone, and am disappointed to see issues like this out of a Hornady round, especially one that has been out for a few years now.

Poor feeding, bad accuracy, too hot
Poor, unreliable feeding from both of my Promag magazines. Some of the rounds were very hot as evidenced by flattened and nearly pierced primers. Throws brass from 2-o'clock through 5-o'clock positions with no consistency. Accuracy was 2"-3" groups at 25 yards! No such problem with Browning or Federal in this rifle. Proper headspace was verified with Go and No-Go gauges. Problem is the ammo, plain and simple.

Almost blew my gun up and hornady said t
4 rounds in the box seemed a little hotter and the last round broke a lug off of the bolt, messed up the barrel extension. Hornady said too bad! No other ammo bulged or acted like this.
