Excellent Extendable Stock
This stock is a very durable stock. I needed this stock for its ability to extend to different lengths. I have an AKM that has a scope attached to it but I could not get the proper eye relief due to the AKM stocks are short. This stock allows me to get the proper eye relief because the stock extends to different lengths. The stock also has a
unique feature, it folds to the right side of the receiver away from the scope mounting rail which is located on the left side of the receiver. Bill Marr
Solid stock
Fit great on my converted saiga. Lighter and better than the wood stuff. The folding option is great for storage. Not so much for shooting while folded but doable. Feels very solid. It has no play while shooting.
Rock of Gibraltar Solid
Upgraded from an Ace folder. Magpul is compact, very functional.
Polish Tantal
Perfect fit on my Polish Tantal. Makes the rifle much more practical and user friendly when extended. Only complaint would be that when folded it blocks much of the trigger guard, all of the safety and barely clears the charging handle. With an cheek piece riser I am not sure it would fold all the way but that is unnecessary in my build.
Makes for a nice looking AK.
This is the one to use with a Century Arms C39V2 - not the model that is for a milled stock. You want this Magpul M585 and not the M552. Just a few taps with a rubber hammer and it fits tight as can be, due to the way Magpul molded two thin strips of plastic on each side of the end piece. Two provided hex head screws are then installed through the tang that are machined into the end of the milled receiver. Nice and tight locking in either the folded or extended position.

I bought this product from Brownells to replace the stock on my 84S (Chinese AK clone in 5.56 cal). Right out of the box I was impressed by the quality and features of the stock, and it displayed the quality that I have come to expect from Magpul products. However, if you are buying this to install on a Chinese rifle such as a MAK-90 or Type 56S, be aware that some modification of the stock will be necessary, as the Chinese AK rifles have a longer tang and different bolt spacing than European Comm-Bloc rifles. Ten minutes with a Dremel and needle file and I was in business. The stock locks up tight, and the spring detent that keeps it in the folded position is a nice touch. Overall it is the best option for a folding stock that I have found for the AK, as it does not require modification to your weapon.
Great Product
This stock is great. It installed easily without any modification and is built like a tank. Another innovative and impressive product from Magpul. If you want an easy to install tough as nails folding stock for your AK then buy this stock. I will be putting this stock on the rest of my AK rifles very soon.

Sgt. Cav. Just got this stock about an hour ago, It is already on my AK 74, Great shipping time. This has to be one of the best after market add on I have seen, It looks like it belongs on the rifle, Matches the finish, Went on with no problems, No wiggles, no shakes, Opens and closes easily, I couldn't be happier with this if I had designed it my self. Yes do not be afraid of this product, Typical Magpul quality, and typical Magpul move up in functionality as I said at the top, High Speed, Low Drag, Not a Kludge blob of plastic that looks like it been added on as an afterthought.
