Bright at Night!

Wow these are bright in low light! I've never had any night iron sights on any of my rifles before, but now I'm buying them all some. These work very well during the day as well. I can say I shoot more accurately with these in day time, but at night it's a whole different ballgame!

Re-consider this Product

The front post/ rear notch sights on an AK were designed for fast-moving combat applications. In this mode, they work very well. Do not just dismiss them because they are differnt from your "target" style AR peepsights. I found these sights worked very well, in low light applications, with very acceptable combat accuracy, out to 100m, "off-hand".

You need these!

I was a little sceptical about paying so much for night sights for my Bulgarian AK74,but I decided to give these a try.I ordered a set on a Tuesday and received them on Friday,i thought that was quick!!Listen...I know these cost a bit but do yourself a favor and get down on a set of these.Who needs a red dot scope at night when you can use these,they are the cheese!!If I could have given 6 stars I would have,simple as that.Get a set and make your friends jealous till they hate you!

Not just OK, AK!

They were just what I was looking for! They pretty much are the same thing as the factory sights but the front post is a little bit wider, I had to slightly widen the notch on my AK front sight tool but no big deal. Not only can you see the three tritium dots at night, the three dots make it easier during the day also. They were relatively easy to install, they work like the factory sights, and they allow you to see your sights no matter what the lighting; They just work

Good tritium sight

This is also compatible with the M70 Zastava. I did have to modify the front sight drum however. I drilled it from the side and tapped it for a set screw to hold the front sight in place. The tolerances of the front sight threads are just loose enough to where it will move from zero.

Great sights

I would have given these sights 5 stars if they would have come with loctite. Once you have the sights set properly, back the front sight off three turns, add a drop of loctite, and screw back in your three turns, otherwise in a critical situation the front sight will shoot loose. Other than that minor issue, at least it's minor if you know about it in advance, they are fantastic sights and far superior to the stock sights in ever way!!!! I would buy these again and again!

mepro light ak sight set

The front sight must be adjusted by a full turn increment in order to still see the Tritium front sight insert (minor problem). The rear sight settings may not be useable below #3 marking on the rear sight. Inspite of these draw backs, IMO this is still the best aftermarket iron sight set for the ak. You may need a tool or an extra pair of hands to remove the original rear sight.
