PRO MAG AK-47 Magazine 223/5.56 30rd Polymer Black
I purchased these mags for my Radical Firearms FPR 5.56 SOCOM, they fit perfectly. No issues at all, would recommend them for others who have a Radical Firearms Polish AK in 5.56. Now, if Pro Mag would only make them in 10 rounds.
Would you recommend this?
Yes, I would recommend to a friend
Great for NHM-90
I have one of these for my Norinco NHM-90. At first the bolt shaved the top of the mag a little, leaving plastic shavings. About 400 rnds later, and it doesn't happen anymore. I've never had a single problem. No FTF or stovepipes. I just wish I had bought more of these before they went up in price.
Worked well in Arsenal Slr106
Bought to see if these would work with my Arsenal Slr106. Worked well, but I was able to load 31 rounds in both mags somehow and failed to feed first round. Also halfway through one mag had a FTF, but possible I was not fully shouldering the gun at the time. Did some 10rd mag dumps and got them into some dirt. Did pretty well for the first outing. Great mags for the price, but will definitely have to test further.
Better than the last ones!
Already reviewed this item before. First 4 magazines I bought needed a slight modification to work properly. Bought 4 more magazines for my Russian made VEPR, chambered in .223 expecting to make similar modifications... but not so! All 4 new magazines fit properly out of the box with no modification. Gave a rating of 4 again only because I have not had enough time to evaluate quality over time. Compared to last 4 magazines I purchased I would have to upgrade the rating to 4.5. (No mod. necessary)
Adjustment needed for proper operation.
I bought these magazines for my Russian made VEPR chambered in .223. I had to file down the bottom side of the magazine lug so that the magazine catch on the rifle would engage properly. Once this, fairly simple adjustment, was made the magazine cycled rounds with out additional issues on hollow point and ball ammo. I had some "hang up" issues within the magazine when loaded with black tip "varmint" rounds. I believe this issue is due to the fact that the black tip rounds are a little longer than the other rounds and the tip of the projectile catches the inner, front surface of the magazine. Even with these issues, and taking into consideration the good price point, I will be purchasing more of these magazines. 4*
Works well
I bought several of these to use in two SAR-3 5.56x45 AKs I own. The bolts on both rifles started to shave off a tiny portion of the rear of the mag. Each of the mags were shaved down slightly by the rifles within the first 100 rounds. Even while the mags were being shall we say worn down, they functioned perfectly. These magazines have been well worth the price in my rifles.
Falls out
I bought the 20 round version of this and it will not stay in the gun. I compared it to the Tapco magazines that came with my rifle and there is a big difference.
Not good
Bought this for a maadi. went out to shoot it at +5F and had top of mag shatter on first shot. Gave it one star due to quality, gave it a "best use" as "target practice" since thats what I used it for....... I'll stick to metal mags in the cooler weather. They work at -40F no problem.
