So much better.
I have multiple Glocks in multiple generations. Usually a Ghost connector is all you need. But the trigger on the Glock 43 and 43X is just wrong. Get the Apex to have a smooth easy trigger pull that doesn't bruise your finger after a couple boxes of ammo.
2nd Apex Trigger
This is my second Apex flat trigger. The first is on my G17.5. I liked it so much I purchased a second for my G43X. I have had Agency Arms triggers which are more expensive but I find the Apex trigger to fit the pad of my trigger finger better.
Average Trigger
7/16" total trigger travel. 7/32" reset travel. No overtravel due to Apex's trigger shoe stopping against frame. Clean, crisp break; smooth pretravel. Better trigger options out there for the G43X.
Dissapointed
I was disappointed to be honest. The trigger bar is unfinished/raw as per factory Glock. The connector appears to be exactly the same geometry as in my Glock now, and unpolished/rough in finish as well. I did not take it out of the package. I don't think this part is worth the price paid.
Rough feel during initial take up
I installed the trigger kit on my Glock 43X mainly because the stock grooved trigger was injuring my trigger finger bad after 100 + rounds. The flat trigger shoe did make a big improvement for finger comfort but the initial trigger pull (take up) felt rough/gritty not as smooth as the stock trigger pull. I made sure it was well lubed but the rough feel didn't improve. It may work great on other models but didn't work well on my slim frame 43X. Thanks to Brownells return policy, this trigger kit is going back.
Save your money
The trigger shoe is the only improvement over a stock trigger. The lettering on their trigger connector is abrasive and actually increased the trigger pull. Just buy a trigger shoe and dont waste your money.
Possible Lemon
I purchased this trigger after first getting the Apex kit for my old Glock 17 (which I retired with). I was very impressed with this addition to my old weapon. So much so that I decided to upgrade both of my other Glocks with this setup. I next ordered the Apex kit for my G43. After installing it I found that the slide was extremely difficult to reinstall, seemingly because if the portion of the trigger bar that depresses the firing pin safety hanging up. I eventually got the slide on but the trigger wasn't nearly as good as I expected. Possibly just a bad one that slipped through. I'll be returning it.
