Nylon Derivatives are formulated into Acraglas Gel and provide greater "thin strength," shock resistance and stability over normal temperature extremes.

Slightly less shrinkage than that of Acraglas, which has an amazing 1/10th of 1%.
1-to-1 mixing ratio gives a stable, molecular lattice structure to Acraglas Gel that will not crack, craze or sugar-out as will other 1-to-1 epoxies. Plus, this exclusive, 1-to-1 mix ratio, by volume, simplifies mixing and measuring small amounts accurately.
Slightly longer pot life to give the user more time when doing the actual bedding.
Longer cure time - The molecular structure of Acraglas Gel has been controlled so that for the first few hours after the epoxy sets it remains slightly flexible, making it easy to trim away excess compound.
Readily blends with atomized aluminum, steel and stainless steel particles, thus making it possible for the user to create his own reinforced epoxy whenever such type epoxy is desired. Standard mix for optimum results is 1 part metal particles-to-3 parts mixed Acraglas Gel by volume.
Can be dyed the same as Acraglas to match the characteristics of the gun stock being worked on.

Acraglas applied to fore stock of Remington 1100

I purchased this special epoxy as it was recommended for repairing blisters in the Remington fore stock where to Acraglas seals off the fiberglass webbing. The resin and hardener blended as per instructions and gave me time to spread it before starting to harden. I will wait a few more days of curing before shooting the Rem 1100 at a trap range. We shall see if it's a permanents seal.

The product states it does not sugar but when I opened my resin it was definitely sugared. I went ahead and used it anyway to give it the benefit of the doubt. I used this to replace the paints on the irons of my carry pistol (the front sight color had fallen out) I redid the front and rear sights with this stuff. Super easy to work with died the acuraglas with acrylic paint Front yellow and rear white. So far after my first range day, they have held up after 100 rounds of 9mm so I will give it that. But the cure time was much longer than stated in the directions. Im not sure if this is due to the sugaring problem or possibly the paint I used to dye the epoxy. so far the sights have not 100% hardened its as if they are set but still a bit playable. Time will only tell how well they set up, maybe this is normal for the gel stuff I'm not sure never used it before. But so far so good brownells haven't disappointed me yet so we will see.
