USING ACRAGLAS
I have used Brownells Acra Glass for decades - and it has never failed me on jobs, large or tiny. Just thoroughly mix 4 parts resin to 1 part hardener. Mixing for 1 minute is normal for me. I use very small cooking measure spoons to dip out the two components. Rub the mixture onto both surfaces to be glued with a toothpick or furnished pop sickle stick, then join them and secure with such as a rubber band or tape. Leave what is not used in the mixing cup, and after two hours test that for hardness. In 6 hours it should be hard, but I also leave it for 16 hours prior to working the glued surfaces.
I always keep that partly-full paper mixing cup for future jobs.
This works on wood as well as hard rubber. With black hard rubber, you can add some furnished black dye. A tiny amount of dye is all that is required.
If you make a sticky mess on your kitchen working surface, use vinegar to wipe it clean.

Works great for repairing damaged gun stocks
A friend dropped his Silver Seitz trap gun and really gouged up the forearm along with breaking off a corner of it. The Acraglas with my coloring repaired the damage and is barely noticeable. You would not see it if you were just looking at it.
