This is my go-to powder for the 7.62x39. Works great.

1680 is a powder that meters very well, and works in my 300AAC BLACKOUT Rifles. Great Accuracy This is one of the best propellants I have used in the 300s small case!!! I have found that 2 tenth of a grain can make a difference in accuracy in the small case!!!

Has NO peers for use in the .22 hornet, 25-20 wcf, 32-20 wcf ( HV), 7.62x39 and 357 Maximum.

Worked up multiple 7.6239 loads with this powder and its extremely accurate. I did some testing with all my loads and needless to say its accuracy was two fold against the 3 different factory loads I had. S&b, Geco and Fiocchi. Which is pretty much a given with majority of hand loads compared to factory or store bought ammo but it improved from a 3 to 4 moa on average to a 1 to 2 moa average which is great from 7.62 russian being as it's not the most accurate round to deal with and is normally "minute of man" instead of minute of angle. All my testing was done with a Norinco type 56 Sks not a AK so in my opinion and experience my Sks is more accurate than any Ak I've shot or owned. But I'm sure there are Ak47's out there just as or more accurate than Sks's just not that I've seen. I highly recommend 1680 and CFE BLK from Hodgon for your 7.6239 reloading! Regardless this is all my opinion and experience so take it as you will just know you can't go wrong with this powder!

I've worked up a number of 300 Blackout subsonic loads with 1680, CFEBLK, and Vihtavuori N120 using 200, 208 and 220 grain bullets. I like 1680 the best. While all 3 powders are dirty 1680 gave the most consistent and lowest extreme spread numbers through the crono. Heck during load development I was getting single digit ES in 5 shot groups! Accuracy was also best of the 3.

Great powder for my .45-70.
