BERGER 6 MM 109 GR LONG-RANGE HYBRID TARGET (LRHT)
Superior Performance That Wins
Designed by ballistics expert Bryan Litz, the Berger 6 mm 109 gr LRHT blends unmatched precision, aerodynamic efficiency, and world-class consistency. From PRS stages to 1,000-yard bench setups, this bullet consistently delivers competitive and hunting-grade accuracy.
Why It Stands Above the Rest
- Unrivaled Ballistic Coefficient (BC)
- G1 BC: 0.568, G7 BC: 0.292-optimized for velocity retention and wind resistance over long distances.
- Doppler-verified performance with <1% bc variation>, not just high BC-but consistent shot-to-shot flight behavior.
- Hybrid Ogive Design
Combines a tangent shape near the bearing surface (easy tuning) with a secant form near the tip for flatter trajectory and reduced drag. This makes it user-friendly and ballistically efficient.
- Meplat Reduction Technology (MRT)
A Berger innovation ensuring consistent meplat (tip) diameter using force-based swaging-not length calibration-virtually eliminating aerodynamic imbalance for amazing group cohesion.
- J4 Precision Jacket
Berger’s proprietary J4 jackets deliver +/- 0.0003” runout-yielding superb alignment, reliability, and impact accuracy across each batch.
Built for Long-Range and Extreme Conditions
- Excellent Stability
The 109 gr design offers both aerodynamics and stability. It maintains effective flight even when pushing into the transonic zone.
- Load-Tuning Friendly
Generous bearing surface (0.431”) and hybrid shape are tolerant of seating variations-giving you flexibility without losing accuracy.
- Versatile Cartridge Compatibility
Ideal for 6mm Creedmoor, 6mm BR variants (Dashers, 6XC, 6BRX), 6×47 Lapua, and more. Requires a 1:8” twist barrel or faster.
User Feedback You Can Trust
- Precision Shooters
One competition shooter praised their top-tier loads using the 109 with PRS excellence thanks to its flatter trajectory and lethal BC consistency.
- Handloading Community Brittle Bullets?
Many reloaders highlight the 109’s forgiving tuning traits-especially compared to the 105 Hybrid-while still delivering elite results.
- Match Proven
Nearly one-third of top-tier 6mm shooters across competition fields choose the 109 or 105 LRHT, a striking endorsement of its long-range capabilities.
