Digital caliper.
I bought this particular model because it had automatic shut off. I no longer have a memory and this caused the ruin of my previous tool. By the way, shipping is now brutal!
High quality
Nice solid stiff feel. Smooth and easy to adjust. The read out is easy to see. I would recommend.
Well worth the money
I got it to replace my old reliable Mitotoyo that I have used since 1985. The Mitotoyo still functions well but my old eyes can't see the gauge very well anymore. This unit is well made and compares exactly with the Mitotoyo. Only problem was the battery was dead when I first used it but a second one was included.
Great tool!
This digital caliper is great! Shars is a great company and will stand behind their products. I have Starrett calipers and with proof gages these Shars calipers measure within 3 tenths! The Starrett and Mitutoyo cost from $120-$400 and perform the same when the battery is low. So as soon as your battery gets low in inexpensive calipers, change it. These calipers come with an extra battery and cool smoke colored hard case. Good luck!
Good for the price
Works well for the price
Affordable Quality
This is a versatile instrument with the ability to take inside, outside and depth readings. Good repeatability, and compares well against my Starret micrometer on OD readings. Easy to use, as long as you remember to reset the zero before making a measurement. Build quality was much better than expected for the price. Arrived with installed battery dead, so keep spares on hand.
LOVE IT
When my order arrived and started using it I loved it right away how accurate and easy to adjust that is why I ordered another one for my other reloading room upstairs
works well at a great price
I have used one of these for about five years, it works good and gives repeatable accuracy. I hand load 50-90 Sharps, 6.5 X 54 MS, 8 X 57, 30-06 mostly. My ammo runs ES 3-12 and SD 1-5 that requires repeatable measures in all areas. Mine has lost the zero function, but, I can remove and reinsert the battery and it goes to zero in the millimeter stage and can be switched to inches, very possible the five or six times I dropped it 3-4 feet to a concrete floor caused the malfunction. I am ordering another one today. A good working product at a great price. Not a starrett for sure, but, I would have cried if I dropped a starret
waste of time and $
Worthless not able to turn ON or cause to function . Replaced battery with new fail . returned to Brownell
No Wheel, No Roll
I thought it was a great deal so I got one. But it ain't a Mitotoyo for sure! The first time I went to make a measurement the wheel fell off. I compared it to my other vernier & it was way off.
