weak mounting design

Poor quality single screw mounting system now on its 3rd failure - screw breaks at narrow thread. Can't imagine how frequently this part would fail under any normal hard military or law enforcement use. Very unreliable sighting system that I would not depend on.

Brand new out of the box-DEFECTIVE- outer ring is a fuzzy oval, the center dot is a line. After I ordered it, others told me eo tech had quality problems in drifting with heat, fade out in bright conditions. This seams to be a new problem.

Nice when it works

As a Law Enforcement professional I have had two of these sights fail while in use on the range. A part comes loose inside of them and then the sight stops working. EOTECH will fix it in warranty for free or out of warranty for about 60 bucks. All I have to say is you better have a good back up iron sight system and you might want to have it already deployed if you are using this sight under a mission critical circumstance. Botton line buy a Trijicon, no batteries and nothing inside to shake loose!
