3 in 1 cutter
I really like these cutters. It saves 2/3 of the monotony of case prep. I have to use mine on an old fashioned trimming chassis (no power tools) but it’s worth it.

Need Long base for 30-06
This will work on the original trimmer, but for 30-06 and other long cases, you have to almost remove the collet to get the case in and out. Go ahead and buy the long base only, the one from the Classic trimmer, if you're buying this for 30-06/300 win mag etc. And you can't just buy the Classic trimmer and use it as a second setup. The Classic shaft is too big. YMMV. And BTW, these work great. For 308, the Original base works fine.
Too good to be true?
That's how I thought it would be when I read the product description. Not this time. This tool not only trims the case to a perfect length, the inside and outside of the case are left with a perfect chamfer all in one step. This tool greatly simplifies and speeds up what used to be a very tedious process. Well done Forster!
Perfect addition
I've owned a Forster Classic case trimmer for over 25 years and I've hand cranked it all that time. I just added a Forster Power Adapter and two 3 in one Case Mouth Cutters in .308 and .224. These cutters are outstanding. With cutting and chamfering the inside and outside of the case at one time I've saved a considerable amount time and effort. The end product is a perfectly trimmed case. With the power adapter there are no more blisters on my hand and the time of cutting is reduced. When the 3 in 1 is placed on the trimmer you will have to extend the cutting length of the trimmer. The rear collet can be unscrewed and moved further to the rear. On my Classic it appears that cases of the .308 length are about the maximum length that I can trim with the 30 caliber 3 in 1. I reload a lot of range brass in .223 and .308. This product is definitely a time and effort saver. Wish I would have installed this years ago. If you lost the instructions for your Classic cutter, as I have, Forster has instruction manuals for all their products online at their website.

I rarely review stuff I buy online unless its really bad or really good. Up until now I have been trimming with the original Forster trimmer and power adapter. But hated HATED the chamfer deburring process with the paper weight looking thing. 30 cases and my hand was stiff. Unlike some reloading products this performs as advertised. Real time, and pain saver! The case mouth is sexy after a trim. I was skeptical about the price, but their ingenuity to make these processes easier earns the extra coin.
Fantastic Tool
This is a fantastic tool. I installed it on my RCBS power case trimmer. The 3 in 1 head has a .490 female hole that slides over the rotating assembly of the RCBS case trimmer. The male end of the RCBS trimmer is .493 dia. I had to turn-sand .0035 from the end of the RCBS shaft so that the Forster head would slide on it, and then tighten the set screw and go to work. THe empty case has to be re-sized before attempting to use the 3 in 1 head. If the case isn't tight to the heads pilot, then the cut will be uneven. So, clean and prep your fired brass and the last step is trim to length. The 3 in 1 is already set from the factory, don't mess with it. The head will cut to length, chamfer and de-bur all in one easy stroke. This handy little tool saved me hours of work by combining all three cuts into one. I am annal about preciseness, this tool will leave you within .0005 tolerances. The Carbide cutters leave an almost polished finish. I've already recommended this to friends. I hate to see anyone waste time, this tool give time back.
223 3 in 1 cutter
This cutter is the best thing I have gotten in awhile! It saves alot of time and so far it trims, chamfers, and deburres perfectly. Couldn't get any better. I ordered this along with the Forster power adapter...perfect! I actually enjoy this part of reloading now as I dreaded this 3 part process of reloading. I didn't want to pay the price but I am very happy I did and well worth every penny.
