Lapua brass
It's Lapua. The finest available. The extreme weight spread between 400 pieces was 1.4 grains measured on an A&D. Lapua is worth every cent you spend.
Well Worth The Money
I have Been Using The Other Brands Of Brass for over 45 years i just could not see paying the extra hard earned bucks with all the competitors out there . I always condition all my Brass , With Lapua Brass it will last you 3 times longer then other brands , more accurate , Primer pockets stay tighter , , I will try to only load with Lapua Brass unless it is not available in my application .
Excellent Brass
Out of 200 pieces there was less than 5 tenths of a grain difference in weight. Last batch of 200 was 1 grain difference. I will buy it again.
Actually a bargain.....
Are they expensive? Yes, as an upfront cost. No, as a long term cost. These fine quality cases can be reloaded at least twice as long as the other "standard" brands, and considerably even longer than that if you neck size only because of the upper annealing strengthening process. In fact, they are almost a lifetime investment. The extra heavy primer pockets do not expand over time and make the case useless like other brands. As a competitive shooter I weigh and group my cases and Lapua cases have the least variation in weight, which offers more cases to work with in a certain weight group, resulting in less range corrections. The reason for the 4 stars is that Lapua cases are not always available, so buy them when they are. Absolutely the best best quality cases in the industry in my 40+ years experience.
Excellent Product
Best brass used to date very consistent out of the box very little trimming when new and concentricity the best I've seen. The brass is annealed on the neck and shoulder makes it more durable.
Why is shoulder area sandblasted?
Be sure to have the best sizing lube available and lots of elbow grease to be able to size these cases in a standard sizing die. It would be easy to get a stuck case every time the case touches the bottom of the die unless the process is repeated many times and lubricant added.
