Alliant 2400
I've been trying to get my hands on some 2400 powder for a long time. Received an email from Brownells that it was back in-stock. Jumped on that! Quick shipping, too.
Would you recommend this? Yes, I would recommend to a friend

Brownells great BUT FedEx for hazardous shipping reliability horrible..
I don't know if there is any other shipping service for hazardous shipments other than FedEx. This most recent and the one previously when you shipped hazardous to me via FedEx have both been horrible for reliability of expected delivery date. This one most recent, the expected delivery date posted to me by both Email and Text message and I stayed home to sign for the delivery they never showed up. SAME thing again for the "revised" delivery date. The THIRD "revised" delivery date they showed up

Worth The Wait
While Alliant 2400 is primarily a pistol powder, like many others, I have used it as a reduced load/recoil in rifles (specifically in my WWI 03 Springfield). Somewhere around my late 60’s, the arthritis in my shoulder dictated that reduced recoil loads were the new norm for the old 30~06. Tried several other powders with various success, but the 2400 always gave the best accuracy with 150gr jacketed bullets. Problem is, it’s hard to get. Brownell’s, however, has always come through. Thx

What a score durning the powder shortage
Saw this advertisement and whet to Brownels and saw this in stock and said to myself holly molly , its in stock , so I pulled the trigger on a 8 lb jug! Im set for life now! All I could use now is about 10,000 large mag pistol primmers!!!

2400
I have been using 2400 since 1972. I have tried every powder made for pistols and have found none better. Easy to adjust loads for the shooting situation. The 8 pounder is the most economic size to buy.

Great powder!
I've used 2400 since the early 70s for my magnum loads. Recently discovered it's great in the 300 Blackout as well.

Great for 44 Magnum Loads
Was looking to get higher velocity(More Kick) from my Ruger 44 mag Super Red-Hawk with 7 inch barrel using a 240 grain lead cast bullet. The Alliant 2400 powder worked very nicely. Even with a 17 grain under powered load the kick was just right and the test round stopped just as it was exiting a 6x6 post. What might be a light load for my firearm might be to high or low of a pressure for yours. Always consult your reloading manuals.

Great for .357 Mag
My go-to powder for .357 mag after trying a bunch. I don't personally own a .44 mag, but I developed a load for a friend and found this one to be the best for the few we tried. My only comment in this application is that unburned powder gets left behind as the velocity/pressure is lowered.
